I love eggs. They are quick and easy and versatile. I eat them several times a week and consider them a part of my healthy diet.

I know I get that feeling and I'm pretty sure most people must at some point, if not all the time! Sometimes, I even cave into it for a day or two, but the feeling of my clothes getting loose or noticing a pudgy part getting a little less pudgy...WAY more satisfying than careless eating. To me anyway. I just try and power…

Hi Niki and welcome to the group! I hope you're still around, because I know this post was weeks ago. :( My name is RoseAnne and I started MFP in September at 210 pounds. I'm very busy being a single mom in school, but feel free to add me as a friend...just don't take it personally when I get quiet for awhile to deal with…

Mine is set to 1200 before exercise, and I usually try to not eat too much past that if I have exercised. However, I'm going into my 5th week of a plateau and am playing with the idea of increasing my goal since what has been working for over 6 months has stopped.

Hi Amy :) I'm RoseAnne and I'm 5' nothing. It seems our 'little' group (teehee...sorry, I inherited bad pun-manship from my mom) has been pretty quiet lately. I know I personally have been MIA for months since I'm a very busy college student too (except I'm 36, and am single mom to 2 kids). I'm glad I checked in though…

You should still be okay if you behave the rest of the week. :) More than once I've lost despite a cheat day in there (sometimes, two :blushing: )

Whether they're irrational or not, they are real, and shouldn't be ridiculed! Maybe I misinterpreted but it sounds like that someone was minimizing them...not fair. My irrational fear, and I'll admit it's irrational, is of vomit. It's called emetophobia and though I had it as long as I can remember, it really crippled my…

Wtf, dude? Her suggestions were good, as was your suggestion to walk. All are easier on the joints then running. Original poster, I have to agree that I'd be pretty disappointed, too, but there are so many low-impact ways to be active that there is no reason you can't keep yourself healthy and fit. And if you try some, you…

True dat! I'm from about 4 hours north of the GTA.

I say change your diet first (NOT go on a diet). I went to the gym faithfully for months, and I "tried to eat better" but you know how that goes and I didn't lose an ounce. This time around, I started eating better first. For me, at least, the initial weight loss of counting calories is motivating and spurs me on to add…

I have the iPhone 4 and the 3G before that...both held a charge all day, and I'm one of those annoying people who use it compulsively, but rarely for talking. :) While I'm sleeping it charges and it's all good for the next day. I <3 my Apple products.

Her death is news everywhere, and everyone is sad. :( I was feeling horrible for her friends and family all day, and now I find a post from someone who was her friend...so I can offer my condolences personally to at least one. Sarah Burke did great things, and accomplished so much. She was taken too soon, but she packed a…

Northern Ontario! And burned far more calories shoveling this week than at the gym.

Here's that slow start I warned of...next week will be much better! 1/1: Shoveling snow x 25 min. 1/4: Gym x 37 min. (I do elliptical and weight machines) TOTAL: 57 min.
-
Nothing...blah...can the kids go back to school now, please?
-
1/1: Shoveling snow x 25min. Wet, heavy, sticky snow, might I add. :)

It's going to be a slow start for me because my kids have no school this upcoming week, but I do, and exercise is going to be tough to figure out...I'll have to make up for it the rest of the month!

I'm going to try it! :) I haven't done a challenge in awhile, so sign me up. I will try to get on daily for sure...I sure with the MFP app had forum access, because then I know I could do it. I don't always get on my computer each day, but I am sure going to try!

Hi Adam I'm finally on a computer and can see your post. :) I just wanted to second what dis and LuSir said...finding others with similar goals through the groups or searching the other forums. And that sometimes you have to change things up to wake the metabolism up again. I have to commend you for getting that daily walk…

Yeah...I've lost 16 pounds and can still wear my old pants, and they weren't skin tight before or anything. There is one pair I'll probably have to stop wearing, but the rest are still okay so you must have lost in all the right places to have gone down sizes like that!!! I had one friend say something to me at just about…

I never schedule a rest day, but sometimes they happen, especially on weekends when my kids are with me, etc. I'll still do my best to get some activity in, but usually I can't get anywhere near the burn I really want to get. I'm afraid to schedule them in because one might lead to two, and heck...one more won't hurt,…

That'd be great! :)

I have no problem with big boy toys if you HAVE the disposable income for them, and everything else is taken care of. What I refuse to live again is the life of struggling to make ends meet, while hubby is out buying yet another new toy on credit that will be nearly impossible to repay. Yes, obviously baggage from my…

I'm friendly and cheerful...I genuinely like people, for the most part, and I let it show. So, right or wrong, I'm going to go out on a limb and say my body type and lack of confidence might be an issue...I'm improving both, whether it gets me a date or not, but I'm curious for the results.

Over the last couple of days we've had a few episodes of very wet flurries because it's been cold and rainy, but they never lasted more than a few minutes at a time. I'm ok with that especially since I haven't got the kids winter boots yet. I'm thankful to see the sun, finally, today.

I go to the Y, for several reasons. No one seems all that competitive there, really. Sometimes I do have to ask the old men to go for coffee to chitchat though, because they forget what they were doing and just talk to each other while I'm waiting to get on a machine. lol So maybe it's because of the different demographic…

I am finding it quite hard! I have primary custody of two kids, so that naturally minimizes my 'getting out there time'. I am a full time student at a small private college...no prospects there. My social circle is made up nearly entirely of couples. There are no single guys at church over the age of like 20. I get out for…

LOL My standards are a little higher than that. I could never date someone who... ...smokes ...is negative more than occasionally ...spends an excessive amount of time or money on big boy toys ...is bipolar (sorry if that's not PC these days, but 15 years was enough of that!) ...does not love me body, mind, and soul ...who…

Northern Ontario, Canada...and I'm a little less enchanted with snow than Dodger.

Some things I've never minded doing alone, like errands, shopping, long drives just because I like long drives. Other things, not so much. I have been trying to be better though and decided to tackle eating out alone as my first project. Yes, I did put that much thought into it, but it's hard for me to break out…
