My accupuncturist did the same finger-thumb demonstration using Ginseng and another root from Korea. My wife, youngest daughter and I tested strong on the Ginseng and weak on the other root. My oldest daughter was the opposite.

I have been drinking smoothies for a while. I switched to green smoothies recently to increase my veggie intake. Here is a good site for ideas: http://simplegreensmoothies.com/ I make them the night before so I don't wake the family in the morning trying to grind up the ingredients.

Sleep. I actually watch more "TV" since I use my tread climber at home and watch Netflix while I walk. Once I lose ~10 more pounds and it gets a bit warmer, I will be sacrificing Netflix for running outside.

I do smoothies for breakfast. Today's consisted of 85 G Mango .5 cup almond milk 1 cup spinach (I don't really measure it, I just stuff the blender cup with it) 4 oz sweet potato (baked) smallish banana (today's was 118 g) All for 279 cal.

I am also considering the same thing--more for boxing workout than kick-boxing. I boxed in college and know a hanging bag can swing a bit without someone holding it. The swing isn' too bad though. It gives you a bit of a moving target. Unfortunately I don't really have anywhere to mount a hanging bag and have seen mixed…
