  • For a lot of the bigger restaurants (Olive Garden, McDonalds, Chilis, etc.) you can find it by searching for what you'll be having online. Smaller ones, I just give it my best guestimate by looking at similar foods from different places and go from there. Chokeslam512 had good tips too.
  • Just to clarify, I've been looking for the food item I ate and choosing a food that is most in line with the calories from the others. For example, if the most common is 500 calories, I'll usually go for that one. I stay away from an abnormal high or low. I just hate guessing haha. I figure placebo has gotta play a role in…

  • That's a really good idea! Just the other day I was wishing MFP would give a daily exercise goal to match up with the calorie goal to help us based on what we told them our weight loss goals were (for example, run two miles (with the option of adding a time limit)). I'd be interested in this. :)
