I steam broccoli and then toss it with a little balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and some parm cheese. Yumm! Like the idea of roasting, too.

Warm prune juice laced with a little milk of mag. Also, if you are having trouble with that kind of problem, you may want to talk to your doctor. If you have some sort of bowel obstruction (symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or cramps, and bloating) using things to make you go could be dangerous.

Hmmm. Sheesh. I would pay of my student loans, my home, my car, build a new home- bigger and better (but not too big) buy a home for my sister and her family, pay off my parent's home, pay of my youngest sister's student loans, take a few trips, set aside a few bucks to savings, give a good chunk to our church and divide…

Sounds like you've had a touch of a flu. Your body is probably on the mend, but if you have been taking anything that has a decongestant in it, it wouldn't be uncommon for your HR to go up. Take it easy, and get well first. :)

My mom has been quite successful with weight watchers. She has lost over 30lbs and looks great. My sister used it, too, and did well, but has recently made the switch to this program. I was attracted to the "free" part as was my sister. Someone earlier said you get what you put into it. I would agree with that. People tend…

Congrats on your first mile!!! I did my first 1 1/4mile without stopping today! We are NOT joggers. We are runners. So... RUN!!!

I was going to use a weight machine a couple days ago. Nobody was there, so I was switching out the handle-bar-thingies (I know, such technical terms) when this rude guy yells at me, saying he was there first. For the record, he was standing on the other side of the gym, yapping at some other dude. Also, people who sit at…

If you have local orchards, produce stands, or farmer's markets, those are great places to buy inexpensive, in-season produce. We have a local orchard that sells a wide variety of apples, pears, and peaches between 69cents a pound up to $1.29/lb. Squashes, tomatoes, (one place I go to sells dried beans) peppers, melons,…

I think you are right to be a little irritated. However, you may think about bringing something inexpensive but nice. Though it isn't the first home they've ever purchased, it is still nice to have a little something new. However, I think the fact that they actually listed places to buy stuff for them from is a little…
