It's strange to be the one doing the motivating...

Thanks :) I've had it set at losing .5 pounds/week, so I'd only be adding 250 calories, plus exercise cals. But I'm not sure that's enough. I lost 6.8 pounds in 16 days when I weighed a few days ago...

I started it May 2nd, and now I run 3 miles 4 - 5 days a week. It's an awesome program. I used the iPod app.

Same here. I'll never take hormones again. We can suffer with condoms :)

I'm 5'2.5". I started at 198 in January, and I'm 128 now. I *think* I'm at goal, but I don't know. I think I just need to get my mindset there! My diary is open. Feel free to friend me :)

hahaha I LOLed

DO IT!! As I'm running, it's so hard. I lie to myself, and say, ok, I'll stop after 2 miles. But then I get there, and think, I can do one more. Then I turn on Pitbull and run even harder! I don't ever regret it. You can do it :)

I started with C25K on May 2nd. I now run 3 miles, several times a week. Before you start, PLEASE go to a running store and get fitted forr running sneakers so you don't get an injury

I am a huge proponent of baby/toddler wearing, and my girl and I love our ergo. However, this looks dangerous :/

LOL

I started at 198 and started noticing changes around 185. It's weird though, not that I'm 134, my mental image still has me much bigger. Every time I look in the mirror or see a current photo of me, I'm surprised that's me. I keep thinking I'm bigger! Feel free to add me as a friend :)

My fiance started cycling when he was in the 280s

The GPS is AWESOME. It works great too, picks up satelites right away and hasn't lost asignal yet, and I live/run/bike in a wooded area. I love having my distance/speed info right on my HRM. It really pushes me to run faster, longer :)

I totally agree with both of these statements. As I said, I was used to losing 2.5/week, so 0.8 is disappointing, but it shouldn't be. I need to change my outlook... I don't think my body could possibly produce more cortisol, I'm a mom to 3 kids and a law student

Thanks everyone

I take measurements too. I'm not changing much. but that's because I'm so close to goal. I just really need to reassess where I am and where I'm going.... I'm not at a point where I need to lose a lot anymore, but my thinking is still there.
-
Thanks :) My fiance still has a lot to lose, so although I'm sooooo proud of him and don't want him to slow down, it can be irritating when he's lost a bunch!

I tried to not weight for a month but only made it 2 weeks :embarassed:
-
I am proud, and I'm trying not to be disappointed. I need to change the way I think about it... I hadn't weighed for 2 weeks and got on the scale today hoping to see a two pound loss, which I thought was conservative, but I was down 1.3. I need to hope for smaller amounts so I can get excited it they're a bit bigger!

1400 - 1100 = 300

Bump...training load anyone?
-
Thanks for the explanation :) I am eating at a deficit, so I am still losing weight. I just want to get the most out of my workouts. So I shouldn't be concerned with the percentages? What about training load? What does that mean?
-
Thanks :) I am a total beginner with strength. Would this be too much for me to start?
-
No, Mr. Snarky. But with a good diet, running will give you a lean, trim look.

Your little one is too young yet for a bike trailer (they must be at least one, my two year old loves hers) but 4 months is old enough for a jogging stroller. You could take her for walks or jogs - exercise for you, fresh air for both of you. You could also put her in a carrier and got for walks (not runs though!). I have…

Long distance running.

You look great! Your calves are amazing :) I did C25K too. I <3 running now!

Thanks again!!! I seriously got chills reading all the wonderful things you have all written about me. Polar RCX3 is a heart rate monitor, to the person who asked. The G5 is the GPS unit that goes with it - tracks, speed, distance, etc. Here is a link to a fantastic review:…

Thank you all so much for your kind words!! For those that asked... I started MFP January 16th. I ate 1200 cals/day until early May, when I started exercising and eating back my exercise cals. I started the C25K program, and am now running 3 miles, twice a week. I also ride my bike 3-4 times a week, 9-10 miles, usually…
