I need a roller derby name!
I start roller derby boot camp October 12 with the Queen City Roller Girls, and I need a name. I'm drawing a blank. I'd like something law-related, maybe something with Esquire, like "I ..... her" but rhymes with esquire. I hope that makes sense in text. Nothing sexy or sex-related.

Dizzy when standing up?
For the past few weeks when I stand up from laying or sitting I get dizzy and the edges of my vision go black. I called my doctor today and they want to see me, so I have an appointment for tomorrow. But I was wondering if anyone else experiences this. I eat 1500 calories a day, so it's not from not eating. I run 3 miles…

does this swimsuit look ok??
I've never worn a two-piece (except for a tankini). I just can't find a suit I like. I'm worried Zappos is going to rescind my free one-day shipping both ways privileges :ohwell: I'm taking my family to a watermark at the end of the month. Does this look ok?? I only see my flaws :( Love handles, tattoos I want removed.…

Running music suggestions (I'll start :)
I updated my run playlist last night and had the best run I've had in a while (faster, no walking, steady 40 min run). I would LOVE some more suggestions!! Here's my current playlist: Piece of Me, Brittney Spears Womanizer, " " If U Seek Amy, " " Toxic. " " With Ur Love, Cher Lloyd I Love It, Icona Pop Thrift Shop,…

I beat my Coke Zero addiction!
(Also posted in Food and Nutrition, don't think that was the correct forum) This journey started out with a weight loss goal, and morphed into a healthier lifestyle. I have no processed foods in my diet, no grains, and very little refined sugars (<10g/day). But...I just couldn't' kick the Coke Zero. Well, it was starting…

I did it! I gave up Coke Zero!
I never thought I could do it. I had a serious addiction. I've completely given up processed foods, all grains, and nearly all refined sugars (still have a bit of dark chocolate). As healthy as I'm eating, I was still drinking Coke Zero. Well, I started cold brewing tea, which tastes amazing, and I lost the taste for Coke.…

Started eating clean, lost my appetite
I opened my diary, feel free to have a look. A little background...I joined MFP in January 2012. I weighed 198. Got down to 124 by July 2012. Started running in April 2012. Running ebbed and flowed, I was also in grad/law school, planning a wedding, and have three kids. (I just graduated and am currently studying for the…

No more ice cream?? And TMI...
I haven't had ice cream in a long time. I don't think I eat a lot of dairy products, when I have milk it's almond milk. I do use milk to make the mashed potatoes in a box (I know they're not the best, but hey, I work full time, am in my last semester of law school, and have 3 kids - I need to put that caveat in there in…

Braces and $$$
I would like some feedback, please tell me if you think this is fair or not :) My son is getting braces put on in two weeks. He is covered under my husband's insurance (his stepdad). My ex-husband is ordered to pay 100% of uninsured medical costs, but we do better than him financially, and get along well, so to be fair,…

Eating less than UGW TDEE??
I got some feedback on this, and would like more opinions. Is there something wrong with eating less calories per day then you'll need to maintain when you hit your goal weight? Current TDEE: 1680 UGW TDEE: 1550 What I'm currently eating to lose: 1200 If my deficit is only 130, it will take FOREVER to lose. And I can't fit…

I gained 12 pounds :`(
Full disclosure time. I gained 12 pounds this year. Ugh. Considering the year though, I'm surprised it wasn't more. I had my 3rd child in July 2010, and stayed around 195 lbs after that. In January 2012, my aunt sent me a photo of me and my family from Christmas, and that was my trigger. I didn't recognize myself, and was…

141 pounds gone and counting (PICS)
I started MFP January 16th,my fiance started the 20th. As of today, I've lost 59 pounds and he's lost 82.I would like to lose 15-20 more pounds, and he would like to lose another 100. The first photo is the one that changed my life. My aunt took this at Christmas and mailed me a copy. It arrived January 15th. I couldn't…

At maintenance and still losing
I've been at maintenance for a month. My SW was 198 in January, and I got down to 128 in mid-August. I was very hppy with my body, and decided I was done losing and switched to maintenance. Since then, I've lost 3 pounds, an inch from my waist, and an inch from my hips. I set MFP to lightly active and maintain, and it…

If you have a bike and a small child...
...then you need one of these. I used to take my two-year-old on rides with me in a trailer, but we're going camping for a week at Allegany State Park so I needed something I could use on the rough terrain. I was going to get a bike seat that sits beind me, but then I found this center-mounted seat. She LOVES IT! She gets…

Switching to maintenance...
I think I'm at my goal. I thought I would be more excited about this lol. I am excited, and proud of my hard work, but it's stressing me out. For 7 years I wanted to lose weight. I tried a few times, and then I finally got serious. I started in January, and I lost 70 pounds in the past 7 months. My origianl goal was 110…

nsv....BOOBIES!
So...the only time in my life I've had large breasts was when I was overweight or breastfeeding. I was a 40DD the past two years, which is huge for me. I bought bras like 6 or 8 weeks ago, 36B, and they are pretty big now. The band is huge and there is definitely room in the cup. So I'm pretty sure I'll be an A when I go…

Thigh rubbing NSV

Disappointed in slow rate of weight loss...
I started at 198 (I'm 5' 2.5"), and with dieting alone lost an average of 2.5 pounds a week. Now that I'm 134 and running and cycling, I'm losing about 0.8 a week. Intellectually, I know that my rate of loss has slowed because my BMR and TDEE hae decreased a lot, so my deficit can only shrink too, but every time I get on…

Do I need a polar foot pod?
I just got a HRM - Polar RCX3, and the G5 GPS. I use the GPS when running outdoors and cycling, but when I run indoors on the treadmill, would the foot pod be something I need? The treadmill tells me my speed and distance, so would the foot pod be redundant?

Strength exercises that don't use hands?
I would like to add strength training to my workouts, and I have access to a full gym at school, but the problem is I can't lift anything heavy with my hands for a while. I had carpal tunnel surgery last month, and the weight restrictions have been lifted, but my hand is still ery sore if any pressure is applied to it. And…

HRM - fat%? Training load?
I got my first HRM yesterday (polar RCX3 with G5 GPS - LOVE IT!!) and have a few questions. Yesterday I cycled for 57 minutes, avg HR was 140, it says "fat percentage of calories" was 27%, and "training load" was 96. Today, I ran for 47 minutes, avg HR was 156, fat percentage of calories was 16% and training load was 114.…

Last bday -----> this bday. BIG DIFFERENCE!
Today is my 31st birthday.... Here is a photo of me a few days after my 29th birthday, heading to the hospital to have my third child. I was soooo swollen. I was 242 pounds...(my biggest ever) This is me last year on my 30th birthday. I was close to 200 pounds, not sure exactly what I weighed. I was 198 in January when I…

NSV - "skinny" pants (PIC)
I have these pants that I had saved for 5 years. I loved them so much. I loved how they made my butt look. I FINALLY fit into them again a few months ago (late March, I believe). It's summer now, so I haven't worn pants in a while, but I put these on and they are ridiculously huge! I started this in an 18, these pants are…

Need help with caloric intake
My stats: Height: 5' 2.5" SW: 198 CW: 136 GW: 115 (or a bit higher, not sure) I started MFP January 16th, 2012. I started at 1200/day with no exercise. I began exercising May 1st, upped my net cals to 1300, and ate back all my exercise cals. My rate of weight loss has slowed, either from the changes I've made, because I'm…

NSV - children's clothing
Yeah, I can totally wear it. I was folding clothes a few weeks ago and turned what I thought was my t-shirt right side out and discovered it was my 10 year old son's shirt. So I tried it on, and it fit! This past weekend, I was at my brother's house - he has 13 and 10 year old sons. His 10 year old was showing me his new…

First 5K on my bday - tshirt?
Tomorrow I will complete the last day of C25K. WOOHOO! I wasn't planning on signing up for a 5K yet, but there is one on my birthday, and I'm signing up for it tomorrow :) It's to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo, NY. Since it's on my birthday AND it's my first 5K, I was thinking of making a t-shirt to…

I'm having surgery tomorrow
I having carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow on my right hand (my dominant hand). It's not that invasive. It's at a surgery center, I have to be there at noon, surgery is at 1pm, and I should be discharged around 3pm. I have a few concerns, and would like some advice (especially if you've had this surgery!): I'm not so worried…

Calories - pulling bike trailer
I've been cycling for the past week and I've been going 3.5 miles at avg. 11.6 mph, and burning 155 calories (I'm 140, 5'3"). My toddler's trailer arrived today so she'll be tagging along. I haven't weighed the trailer (not sure how!) but I'd guess it's about 30 pounds. My daughter weighs 23 pounds. I've searched here and…
