I was in a car accident in February and now have 3 herniated discs in my neck that I'm still dealing with. But then it went uphill...I graduated law school cum laude, bought my first ever brand new car, went on a fantastic vacation in the mountains, PASSED the New York bar exam!!!!,, received a great job offer that will…

I'm 5'2" and have lost 73 pounds. So I'm not where you're at now, but I was :) Send me a request if you'd like

Best of luck!! I took the NY bar exam in July and passed. Can you take a review course? That's what got me through. It was tough. I studied 10 hours a day for 10 weeks. I have 3 kids, I know how hard it can be! I actually got more focused on eating well and exercising while studying. It was something I could control…

Those are fantastic. Thanks :)

I'm just shy of 5'3", small frame. Currently 123 with a bit of muscle. I still want to trim fat so aiming for 115, I think.

I advise you to slowly add in the foods you've not been eating. Initially, grains may make you retain water and feel bloated, and dairy may muck up your digestive track. Adding sugars again may increase your cravings for more sugar. I'm sure you'll be fine reintroducing foods, just go slow as to minimize possible negative…

Thank you thank you for all the feedback and kind remarks :)

Thank you :) I wanted color, but already had the black bottoms, so just ordered a black top :/ I really don't feel comfortable doing "sexy." It's just not me. But I will take the compliment :flowerforyou:

lol I have a very small bust. I though it was actually looking better in this since it has padded cups. You should see me in my Nike compression sports bra! I'll order something higher cut and see how that works. Thanks so much for the suggestions :D

They're a large, and a bit loose in the bum. They're really not too small, it's just the way I carry extra fat on my stomach that makes them look too small :/ By the time I get to a healthy body fat percentage, I'll look like a preteen.

There's not real tips for this, just to keep working on losing fat. And avoid foods that cause bloat for you (maybe high sodium?) You can't spot reduce, your body will take fat from where it wants, so you'll just have to keep losing! Not losing from your face isn't all bad... I lose from my face first, it's pretty angular,…

ME! We have similar stats (but I'm 32). I'm 5'2", started at 198. For three months, I ate 1200 calories a day. Then I began running and cycling, and kept my net at 1200, eating back all my exercise cals.Took me 7 months to drop 74 pounds. I found it hard to maintain on just calories in/calories out, so recently I've paid…

I lost 74 pounds in 7 months, but I was rather aggressive (198 -> 124). I ate 1200/day for about 3 months, then started running and cycling. I kept my net at 1200 and ate back all of my exercise cals. I'm currently at 131, shooting for 115.

:drinker: Also, Lose It

I also amended my post, if someone would notice that :) My point is, motivation is internal. I have 24 hours in a day. So do you. Do what you want with them, even if it's hard. Again, "fake it til you make it," then it will be habit, and you and your family will be happier and healthier. Best of luck.

I suppose my tone reads as harsh. But that's what it comes down to: your own motivation. There are countless blogs, articles, etc on how to workout, eat better, spend more time with your kids, prepare nutritious meals, etc etc. But in the end, it comes down to "you." No one can make you change your behavior. If you're "too…

Ditto. 35 pounds in 5 weeks? Let me know how that works out.

Married mom of three. Full time job. Graduated graduate school last year, graduated law school this year. Studying for the NY bar exam. I prepare healthy meals and run. Every. Single. Day. Stop making excuses. You want it? Do it.

My self-image is so skewed. I'm 5'2". At 198 pounds, I didn't realize how big I was until I saw a full body photo. Ouch. Now at 132, I feel way bigger than I actually am!! It takes so long for the brain to catch up with the body.

It could be fun trying new creative ways to make your baked goods healthier!

I'm 5'2", it's definitely frustrating! I highly recommend getting a heart rate monitor to more accurately track your calories burned. I use one, and I find MFP is almost always lower than my monitor.

I run on my treadmill daily, and when I run outside (like this morning) I think I'm going to die lol. Running on a treadmill is so much easier than running outside. On the treadmill, the ground moves for you. Outside, you have to use your muscles to keep propelling yourself forward. I run 35 minutes on the treadmill; this…

Wow, thanks for all the replies. How does one know when they can rely on their natural hunger signals? I ask because I've recently given up grains, refined sugars, and all processed foods. Generally, I feel really well. Lots of energy, skin looks way better. But, I'm never hungry. I run daily and haven't hit 1200 in over a…
