Take your measurements too and check them every so often as seeing them drop may provide the encouragement you need.

Manchester here. Good luck with your weight loss, I think you'll find this site really useful. :o)

I used to use the circuit training option, then I got a HRM and compared the value to what Mfp gave me and it was very close, normally within 15 cals. Higher levels burn slightly more but it's a decent estimate.

I agree with this. I have seen a lot of info on these boards about TDEE and BMR and one opinion is that you can net below your BMR but only if you are eating to BMR level and above begin with and the deficit is through exercise. Perhaps you could search for these topics on the boards to get more info? It's certainly…

What's your BMR and are you regularly eating under that?

I reckon most people in the gym are just doing their own thing, many are in their own little world with their earphones in listening to music and probably won't even notice you! After you've been a couple of times you will get over that feeling. Go for it!! :o)

I always try to add some positive comments. If you've not had enough requests already then feel free to add me! :o)

Don't be too hard on yourself. There are so many of us who have lost weight only to gain all or some of it back. The positive side is that you've been on MFP before and had success so you know what the key to it is! Take it day by day and you will get lots of support here. Best of luck to you! :o)

I posted a similar question as I'm in the same boat however it's been more like 6-7 weeks for me. I had hoped it would have put itself right by now but sadly not. So I'm interested in the replies too! Try checking your measurements as you will probably start to notice inch loss. Good luck!

Good luck, you have done it before so know how to make it work and you can definitely do it again!
-
Good luck, I'm sure you will find the site really useful. :o)

I don't think you'll be back to square one after 3 days off. Maybe try another couple if days of L1 then move on if you feel ok with that?
-
MFP gives me 203 cals for 20 mins circuit training. I tried it with my HRM and got 214 so I found it to be pretty accurate. Guess it depends on what level you do and your fitness but I reckon it's a good indicator.

Side planks in L3. Would rather poke my own eyes out!

I am almost at the end of 30DS and have lost no weight whatsoever but over 14 inches. Take your measurements as the success can't always be shown on the scales!
-
Good luck, I'm sure this site will help you a lot. I can always do with extra people to give me a push in the right direction when necessary!

It's hard to get yourself out of the mindset that the less calories you take in, the more weight you will lose. For some people 1200 calories does work for a while, but for others it seems they need far more than this to keep their body going. I would look at it this way - eating 1200 hasn't been working, so try something…

Unless she has some kind of medical qualification, I would take what she said with a pinch of salt and carry on with the great work you've been doing. Don't let the negativity put you off!
-
What size weights are you using? You could always up them a bit to increase the challenge until you get to L2.
-
Well done everyone, I can see some great results there!! I'm on the last week and have lost over 12 inches but my weight hasn't budged. One question - do the people who have lost weight as well as inches eat back all of their exercise calories? Thanks!
-
Just done D1 of L3 and found I prefer it to L2 (which I really did not like!). It's not easy, and I had to do some of the modified moves but I won't dread having to do the workout so much now. I think L2 got me far more out of breath overall which is why I disliked it.

It also depends on the lifestyle and eating habits of the person you marry. If they watch what they eat and exercise then it'd be much easier to be healthy yourself.
-
Sounds like everyone is doing great! I just did L2 D7 and it was by far the best I've felt about L2 up to now. Not sure whether I'll be ready to move onto L3 after the 10 days is up but I finally feel like I'm making headway!

It's an awkward topic so I guess some steer away from it entirely to be on the safe side! Also I agree with the clothing - have you bought smaller more fitted clothing? Sometimes people tend to keep their bigger clothes for a while then it makes it harder to see the results of their hard work. The fact remains that you…

Good plan if you can do it as the scales can be very misleading and cause all sorts of misery! I would make a note of your measurements and check them occasionally as sometimes even if the scales are up the measurements have gone down.

Push through the pain barrier - you can do it!! I did 15 days in a row and just had a day off having been away for the weekend but I back to D16 today. I found that I ache less as I get further along with it so I'm sure you'll notice a big difference in the next few days. Good luck with it!

I made the mistake of buying a WW set of scales a few years back and it weighed me around 50lbs less than I am! And then I could get back on and it was 30lb less etc - useless. Needless to say, it went back to the shop! I now use Tanita Body Fat scales and find them to be accurate although not the cheapest out there.
-
Wow, well done - that's a great loss.
-
Well done for keeping going everyone, I think you are a bit ahead of me as I have just made the half way mark. Checked my 15 day progress this morning and have gained a pound!! But I have lost 10.5 inches so I am trying to hold onto that thought and dig in!
-
As you're exercising, I would take down measurements also and keep checking them here and there. Often when the scales don't show you what you want to see, the measuring tape does!
