  • It wasn’t broken so why fix it? A great feature now gone and I don’t want to have to log on to message boards when I could so easily communicate in the app at the time I was using it.
  • This was a great feature in weight loss support and motivation. Whatever possessed MFP to remove this I have no idea. Clearly many people are not happy about it. I’ve used MFP for many years but I will be checking out the LoseIt app that people are suggesting.
  • This thread may be a bit old now but in case it helps anyone - I had the same problem with the Flex. Only had it 9 months and I'm on my third device and third wristband!! The band keeps splitting where the device fits in and the device itself stops charging. I'm very disappointed with it, it all feels like too much hassle…
  • I have the Flex and it is more trouble than it is worth! Since June 2014 when I bought it, the wrist band has split 3 times and the device itself has stopped charging 3 times. Each time Fitbit have been great and sent me a replacement but it's getting ridiculous now and I really can't be bothered with it! Plus the band…
  • I did Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred from being an absolute beginner. It's only about 25 mins a day and hard at first but you can build it up.
  • I've started this today. 3 months seems like a hell of a stretch so I plan to think only day by day. If anyone wants to add me I'm happy to share the pain! Good luck all.
  • A group of us started on 18th July so you'd not be far behind if you fancied joining in. Good luck!
  • Hi there, I did 17 days then became ill so have had over a week off. Because of that I plan to start again in a couple of days. I found a few friends who are going to start it too which is great as we can stay motivated better as a group. Anyone else starting around now is welcome to add me. :o)
  • If you START at 1200 and then plateau at some point, where do you go from there, cos that's the absolute bare minimum the site recommends. I would start at the 1lb a week figure and take it from there. We all want to lose weight as fast as possible, but doing it in a less restrictive way gives better results long term.…
  • I started it this week and it's so tough! But as others have said, the key is not to try to go at the pace they're going it, go at your own speed and when you need to, take a break for a few seconds and join in again. Even some of the mega fit people in the DVD have to stop and take a rest here and there so it shows how…
  • I started this week and just did day 4 and I have to say it's as bad as everyone says! But if you push yourself and get through it (doing things to your own limits, not to those in the DVD) then you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment afterwards. As well as the pain, that is! Good luck and add me if you like.…
  • I started it this week after needing a new challenge - been doing lots of Jillian Michaels stuff in the last 12 months or so (albeit on and off). On day 3 today and NOT enjoying this at all! I can see I'm going to hate every minute of every day, but I can only imagine what an achievement it'll feel like by the end of it.…
  • Wow, I thought I was up early (and slightly mad for exercising at 5am) but some of you put me to shame!
  • Hi All, I just started today with the fitness test so have a long road ahead! Hope everyone is doing well. If anyone wants to add me, I could do with the extra motivation (someone to guilt trip me if I phone it in!!). Not even sure I'm capable of doing it but I will take it day by day and do the best I can!
  • Thanks, I took the measurements and photos this morning so I'm all set! I know from doing other programs (30ds etc) that you don't always see results on the scales, sometimes inch loss and visible changes are where you see them.
  • Thanks everyone, I've heard so much about it that I'm now wondering what I've let myself in for! ????
  • I'm also 5'7" and find 1200 is very difficult to maintain without feeling deprived which then ends in veering off track. I'd say 1400 plus exercise cals (so maybe 1600) is comfortable to me and sees me losing weight. The other tip is if you've been doing this for a while it's so easy to get complacent with weighing and…
  • Fantastic, well done. You must feel great!
  • Not sure about P90X but I know Insanity is 60 days - I guess by the time the proper Summer comes around, you'd see some big differences. I've got Extreme Shed & Shred but haven't tried that properly yet so that could be my next one after RI30.
  • I'm only half way through RI30 as I've been alternating with Banish Fat and also incorporating a couple of rest days per week. By mixing it up like that my weight is now on the move downwards again which I'm happy about since it totally stalled all the way through 30DS. What are you doing next? I also have access to…
  • Well done for continuing on with this, I hope you got some great results and are working on your next challenge!
  • The only thing with 30DS is that there are 3 levels of 10 days each. After about day 4 or 5 on one level you start to get bored and want a change. With RI30 there are 4 levels of 7 days each so it doesn't get quite so boring. But I personally found 30DS more effective. The only other thing I can say is that I've seen many…
  • Good on you for doing Insanity, I've heard lots about it and how tough it is! I'm basically the opposite of you at the moment, I am doing Ripped in 30 but considering trying Insanity. RI30 is good but I've also done 30DS and found I got better results with that in terms of inch loss and noticeable changes to my body.
  • I also have the Polar FT4 and think it's great. Very easy to use and compared to some other HRMs not too bad on price either.
  • Level 2 is the worst and I think a lot of people would agree! I find it does get slightly easier but not until I have almost dragged myself most of the way through it! You will feel great for pushing through it though.
  • I have it and have tried level 1 a couple of times but at the moment I'm doing a combination of Ripped In 30 and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. I will get back to Extreme Shed & Shred at some point. One observation was that 1 level was enough for me never mind doing both back to back!
  • The strap should be a soft material and won't dig in unless you over tighten it. I have also heard that HRMs without the chest strap can be far less accurate so definitely worth getting one with a strap.
  • Congratulations on your success, you deserve it as you've put the work in! As for the other women, I agree that it's jealousy. The fact that someone else is doing what they know deep down they all need to do, is obviously hitting them where it hurts. It's a shame really as if there is a few of them needing to get…
  • For me it's at 5am before I go to work. If I attempt to do it in the evening I'm sat at work all day talking myself out of it then by the time I leave it doesn't get done. If I get it out of the way early I can then 'slob out' in the evening and not feel bad!
  • Sorry to hear you are feeling so unwell. Hope you get better soon and back to kicking Jillian's backside! Well done to you all for plugging away at the Shred. I am still being put through my paces by Jillian in a RI30/Banish Fat Boost Metabolism combo! She just gets worse! PS. Is tapping out like "phoning in"?!
