I'm 34 and trying to lose the last stone, which I keep hearing is definitely the hardest and sure enough I seem to have come to a halt. But I keep mixing things up in the hope that I'll hit on the answer at some point. I guess it just requires a lot of patience!

I'm doing this too, I'm combining with Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and doing each 2-3 times a week with 1 or 2 rest days.

Just one suggestion - when you've been doing well for a while, sometimes it's easy to slack off a little in terms of weighing/measuring things. You may think you know how much you're having but gradually a bit extra keeps creeping in until it starts making a difference to your results. Other than that I have also heard…

When I do the same workout, I burn different amounts of calories each time (it's never massively different though). Some days I must just work harder than others. I've had the problem with mine going to zero and found that if I tightened the chest strap so it was more fitted, it helped the situation.

I'd love to know this myself as exactly the same thing happens to me every time I do 30DS or any of Jillian's other workouts. I'm trying to alternate the resistance training with just cardio to see if that helps but too early to say yet.
-
Big congrats, you've worked hard and got great results. Unfortunately I couldn't get the link for the pics to work though.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my post. It certainly shouldn't matter, but as for many people, it's a hard habit to break! I'll try cutting back a few more cals and see if there's any progress. The whole BMR/starvation mode talked about a lot on MFP has put me off from going too low, but what I'm doing now isn't…

I was part of a group of people who did 30DS during March so I just finished. It's the second time I've done the shred and both times I've lost no weight at all, in fact I actually gain a couple of pounds (I'm told water retention when muscles repair themselves after starting a new workout programme). Having said that, I…

Keep going ladies, getting forever closer! :drinker:

If you like the 3-2-1 system in 30DS you will also like Ripped in 30 as that's the same format. It's also a little better in that you only spend 7 days on a level as opposed to 10 with 30DS so a bit less boredom involved.

Same here, no weight loss but some noticeable inch loss so I do feel like it was worthwhile. Well done on your inch loss and for sticking with it. ????
-
You will lose inches from your waist although the hard part is that it may be the last place to come off. With perseverance though you can get there. I'm pear/hourglass and wish I had the slim legs you apple ladies have! And my biggest area is my hips so guess what - that's the last place the inches come off. But I just…

Hooray I'm done! :drinker: Weight loss = zero (disappointed, but expected this as it happened last time I did 30DS). Inch loss = 7.5 inches including 1.75 inches from my waist and 1 inch from my hips. When I recorded my measurements I came across the results of last year's shred and I lost 6.5 inches then so I'm glad to…

Hi there, I found 2 that I've joined. Jillian Michaels ripped in April (people doing different Jm stuff) and Jillian Michaels Ripped In 30 April 2013 which I joined after making the decision to start ri30 after my last day shredding today. Would be great if some of this group joined too, you've all been excellent…

I'm on my last day of 30ds tomorrow. I've been pondering over what to do next and have decided to do RI30 so will start on Tue 2nd!

I'm 5'7" and the number I have in my head is 140 however I know it's much more than a numbers game and need to work hard on exercise. As others have said, the right exercise can make you look pounds lighter at the same weight and none of us go around with our weight tattooed on our forehead after all, so after years of…

Thanks everyone, we've been a great team! Without everyone's support I'm sure I'd have switched off the alarm and turned over every morning and gone back to sleep.

I feel your pain, my calves are one of the areas I struggle most with. However I have just done the 30 day shred and have lost almost an inch off each calf so I'm pleased with that.

Great results and very inspiring!

Well done with the weight loss ladies! Must be spurring you on seeing the numbers dropping. ???? Still none for me yet and I'm on the last day on Monday! I reckon once I work in rest days maybe my poor muscles will release the water. At least that's what I keep telling myself. ????
-
You have done great!! 3.5 inches off your waist is particularly impressive. Well done.
-
That certainly doesn't look like failure to me, those are great results!! Well done!
-
Really good results, well done!! And good luck with your next Jillian challenge!
-
Wow what a difference! Very well done. You must be really pleased?
-
Fantastic results, very well done!

I do think shred is tough on the knees. I try to do enough to push myself to get stronger but not too much so that I'd actually injure myself. We all know our own limits I guess. You can always substitute a move with one from a previous level just to keep you moving. I've done that occasionally myself. ????
-
Some days I've dragged myself out of bed and really forced myself to do it but I'm not saying that's the way to go. It worked for me to keep me consistent but once I've done the shred I will be allowing myself more rest days. I think even one day off would make you feel really refreshed and probably able to push harder the…

MFP is about everything in moderation - so maybe cut down if you're concerned about your intake but I don't think you need to avoid it entirely?
-
This is great, well done! You must be really proud of yourself, and if not then you should be!

I'm afraid I still modify this for the same reason. Maybe I will try to attempt the full version tomorrow, will see how I feel!
