  • How do you keep the avocado fresh if not eating all in one sitting? I’ve been making avocado toast a few mornings a week, using half of the avocado, some chopped mini tomatoes, sprinkle of Parmesan and a sprinkle of pumpkin or sunflower seeds. I’ve wrapped the remaining half with Saran and then placed in a small Tupperware…
  • I’ve had an Apple Watch for 2 years but never really used it except as a ‘watch’. (It was a gift). I’m a bit of a technology miss too. I’d really like to start to use it to help with tracking my exercise etc but don’t really know what it can even do. Any beginner advise other than trying to find a boring manual of sorts…
  • Again, I'm not looking at it for the weight loss benefit. Also not sure where the $300 came from; you can get the book for about $15. You don't need to purchase the 'program' supplements, they are available for a fraction of the cost from local stores. No, I'm not in a deadly toxic state, but do have health issues. Anyone…
  • I'm not looking for quick weight loss. I know there are detox threads. I was specifically looking for "the Prime". I understand about calorie deficit. If anyone has tried the Prime and read the book, please respond.
  • Like I said, not a 'typical detox'. More of a healthy way of eating. Not looking for your judgement but rather comments from those how are on this plan. It is a lifestyle change not a quick detox.
  • Thanks for the ideas...
  • My husband and I started South Beach today. I think he'll do OK on it, but I've been searching for recipes to get me through phase one and am not having much luck. Thought you guys could help me out. I can't stand eggs or ricotta, and eat very little meat (really don't care for anything beef, but can tolerate small amounts…
  • I have to watch my sodium but do like lunch meat on my salad. I usually get Boar's Head from the deli (at some major grocery chains or deli's). They have reduced sodium versions of many varieties: Ham, Turkey, Beef, chicken. Still contains quite a bit of sodium, but greatly reduced over the standard lunch meat. I make sure…

  • Great recipes. Thanks for posting.
  • I'll be anxious to see answers too. I just purchased it today and am ready to get started this evening.
  • Toast 1/4 cup of pine nuts. Sautee a bit of onion and garlic in a couple teaspoons of olive oil. mix the baked spaghetti squash with the pine nuts and onion mixture and add 1/4 cup parm cheese, s&p to taste. WONDERFUL.
  • I borrowed this DVD from a friend to check it out (haven't watched it yet). I currently do a circuit training (major co-ed workout that also mixes in cardio) 2 evenings a week, and a low-impact aeoribics/fitness class 2 nights a week. Weekends are pretty much out of the picture for 'exercise' although I do a lot of…
  • I have a total of 10-15 lbs to shed, and am just beginning with MFP. My goals in MFP are set at 100 net calories and I do a combo of cardio and strength training 4x's week. I am approx 5'4" and at 139 right now. I see from this topic that some people are going up to a higher net calories when they are down to 5- 10 lbs to…
  • I'm not a tuna fan either and despise mayo or mayo type substitues. However I have found that I enjoy the following: One Pouch Starkist Yellow Fin Tuna in Olive Oil (drain out as much oil as possible) I put in a small bowl and break up (don't want to taste large pieces!!) Since I can't stand Mayo, I add a light creamy…
