Hi, how much weight do you want to lose? If it's a lot, do you lack motivation to start because it seems like such a big goal? Or is it a smaller ammount you want to lose, and you keep telling yourself it's not that important? I went up to 172lbs at university, and have maintained at 128lbs for the last few years now. For…

Thanks for everybodys input, I appreciate it! I think I will have my free session to see how I feel about it, see if they write up a plan for me and see if they can help me with other things such as leg strength (to prevent a dodgy knee from getting hurt my running) and maybe ask a few vanity based questions on what other…

Hi, I'm 5ft 4. Yeah I go through phases of trying to make better food choices but it doesn't stick very long as my partner isn't really interested in it either which makes it easy for me to just eat as normal with him! Just wondered if it was normal to get to close to goal but accept youre fine as you are, or are there…

About 3 years ago, at my higest weight, my IBS was at it worst. I was ill with IBS-D every day, was constantly tired and in pain and had no energy. Personally stress is a big trigger for myself, but also looking at what foods I am eating massively helped me take back some control in my body. Keeping a food diary on here…

I joined the gym a few weeks ago to improve my overall fitness, and have been using the gym, and going to some classes. So far though, even though I feel like I get a really good workout doing some of the classes like body attack, or going to the gym, I actually really enjoy going to zumba! I build up a sweat but the hour…

Thanks for everyones input, would classes like metafit/insanity count as HIIT? My work friend wants to go to those classes, so I could try those as well? I'm about to head off to the gym soon but thanks again for some new ideas for future work outs :D
-
Thanks, I'm not sure if I could do 5 days a week just yet, I'm only just getting the motivation to go to the gym :P I would just rather my workout count towards changing my body instead of going and being stuck on the elliptical cos I don't know what to actually do, hency why the classes have been good because someone just…

Thanks, I guess I'm going to have to go towards some kind of lifting then, bit out of my comfort zone but if its what works then I'm happy to try it :)

I got down to 125lbs, from 172 at my highest. After that, I've pretty much maintained 128lbs for the last few years. Now I'm at the stage where I'd like to be fitter, so am going to classes (even though I'm terribly out of shape and feel quite embarrassed by how out of breath I get!). My main goal now is to get fit and…

Would like to read the responses for this, I bought the DVD and hope to start it soon. Due 9 days off work so was hoping to start it then, try and get some soreness out of the way as my job is very physical and if I started doing the DVD whilst working, I'm worried I won't be able to really do my job well because it'l hurt…

I think it would be unwise to eat less than the recommended 1200 by a few hundred every day, that would mean you are eating potentially less than 1000calories every day. You might think that by under eating by this much, you will lose weight quicker, but it's not very healthy or sustainable in my experience. I would…

I had been dyeing my hair for a good 5 years or so various colours, but had left it a while as i wanted to grow it out. I ended up getting frustrated and used Colour B4 (in the UK) which worked wonders, almost all of my hair colour returned to a near natural colour, despite having dyed it black in the past. word of warning…

Thanks for your replies, glad anyone even looked at my post! My job has been a major factor in helping me lose weight as it involves lots of heavy lifting and power walking all day, which I do believe has been a driving force in helping me lose weight. I think perhaps looking at what I eat may help me look better, and…

I've lost 41lbs now by reducing my portion sizes and cutting down on fried foods. Seeing how many calories and other macros are in my food using MFP really helped me open my eyes to the sheer ammount of food i was consuming every day, however I can't do 1200 calories per day, my job is too physical and i end up really…

Hi! Firstly, well done for coming back on here, at the least it shows you want to change, now it's just time to keep at it. Take each day as it comes, life gets in the way sometimes and you can't beat yourself up if one day you go over, but f you are regularly going over your calorie allowance then maybe you could find a…

Thank guys, seen as though it's too late to visit my doctor today, just figured i'd ask if anyone else had the same thing tonight. I guess I'll have to go visit and hope they can help me out. Hopefully something can be done about i, fed up of standing up and having to hobble for a little bit before I can walk properly haha

The only way i can think of to describe it is as if I've lay down on my front and some part of my insides is squishing another part, but it's been like this for as long as i can remember,. Last night I lay half on my side and front just for 10 seconds or so, and lifting myself up again to a sitting position made my stomach…

Thank you. I've tried doing a bit of stretching but will try to remember to do it more often and see if it helps. I had about a week off for holiday and was hoping ti would improve with the time spent resting but as soon as went back to work it hurt all over again. Didn't think it was enough to go to the doctor for, was…

I don't understand? I'm currently given 1400 calories a day if that helps?
-
- what kind of build are you? (small, medium, large) - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? - what is your goal weight and why? - how old are you (if you don't mind sharing) - and have you had any kids? (I know from experience that can affect your body! ;) ) Hi! I'd say I was a medium…

I tend to get irrationally upset if my sandwiches are cut into two rectangles rather than two triangles... lol I also tend to peel off crusts and eat them first, get the boring bit out of the way, and eat my veggies first. not too strange I guess :)

Got told by my Mother it made her want to cry cos I had gotten so fat (Was 158 at my heaviest and whilst it was probably a shock to her that I had gained so much during University it was still innappropriate). Also, now I've lost 32lbs, my Mum keeps saying how pretty I am now (as if I was awful before) and keeps discussing…

Definitely a success, your stomach looks amazing! Well done :D

Peppermint tea can help my stomach settle sometimes, as well as obviously avoiding the foods you know make you flare up. Drinking lots of water can help me generally feel more well, as well as a bit of exercise. I have some kolanticon gel from the doctor but i think you can buy ti over the counter, which can sometimes help…

Hi! My name is Ishbel, and I live in the UK. I graduated from University in July, and work in a supermarket at the moment which has definitely helped with my weight loss haha. I'm 21 and have been suffering from IBS since around the age of 13, although didn't realise what it was til I was around 18 which was very…

Fantastic, thanks for posting this :)

I'm at my initial goal weight at the moment (126lbs) which I am happy with but ideally I'd like to lose another 10lbs or so, hopefully shrink my stomach and waist a little more. Ideally i'd like to maintain below 9stone in the long term as I do feel a lot more confident at this size, but I'll just see how it goes I guess…

I'm hoping losing more body fat and keeping exercising will result in a flatter tummy after a while! It's a lot flatter than when I started but haven't been doing anything special, so I just have faith it'l come off even if it's the last place to disappear from haha Good luck!
-
You look AMAZING! You can totally tell the difference, it's like your stomach has disappeared! Keep it up, hope to see another progress pic in the same shirt later down the line!

I've had stretch marks for years, around the top of my thighs and my hips, at my heaviest I was 158 , I got to that by putting on a stone each year for three years. Two stone ish down now and all of the yoyo dieting over the years has probably made them tons worse than they should've been. I feel a lot better at 126 lbs,…
