  • Pretty soon you'll be happy to take your shirt off. You'll be so proud you'll just have to show it. Excellent job so far. Can't wait to see the finished picture.
  • When you've met the right person and you have TALKED about every aspect of marriage and are sure you want to do it. I was late, 27, when I married. Coincidentally, I've been married 27 years.
  • I'm on a low cal/low carb diet. You are eating less than me. I'm morbidly obese. You want to lose 20 lbs. I think you need to up your calories. Your base calories should be at least 1,200 and you should eat back most if not all your exercise calories. I had to learn that you can actually eat MORE and the weight comes off…
  • Mine used to click badly, but now only infrequently. I think it could be because a) I now have proper arch supports, b) I now am properly hydrated, c) I now warm up and stretch properly and d) I take my omega 3 and others every day. Also dropping some weight didn't hurt either.
  • So no one has any good exercises to try?
  • If you eat three healthy meals and day plus a couple of snacks in between you really won't have the urge to binge. I think it is all about fueling your body appropriately during the day so the nights are better. Also, any time you have the urge to eat something when you shouldn't, drink a glass of water first. Realize that…
  • Awesome pics. Thanks so much for sharing.
  • Terrific accomplishment. Very inspiring. Keep up the great effort.
  • I started at 100% weight. I will end at 100% fitness. I'm probably at about 70% weight, 30% fitness right now. The more I lose the more I see the necessity of having what I have left be in good condition.
  • Thanks for all you do. Thank your buddies for me as well.

  • Seeing a glimmer of understanding in someone's eye. Seeing someone stand up for what they believe in. A hug from hubby or son.
  • I got married at 27 and had my first son at 31.
  • Mine is opened with a key. I only give the key to those I trust or want to help. There are too many people that will pick apart what you eat when you haven't asked their opinion, so I don't invite them. If someone has constructive criticism, then I am happy to share.

  • Don't worry. I'm not discouraged, just trying to be pre-emptive. Much rather not have the sleep apnea, the threat of diabetes, the worry of high cholesterol and all the rest of the horrible things that go with my previous condition. Much, much happier being a bit flabby and a ton healthier.
  • Thank you all, I think. No good news seems to be the predominate theory. I'm already on the treadmill an average of 45 min a day. I'm trying to do some situps, such as I am able to do at this point and something called a standing side crunch. I'm also trying to do the Nautilus machines that target the tummy or back area as…
  • I read that is causes short term memory loss. (I'm sorry, what were we talking about?) Seriously, though, I now drink only water and although I have no web sites or medical proof of anything I can say with certainty that I feel much better. I stopped drinking the soda before I began my weight loss, so the feeling good…
  • No one else has something to say?
  • Congrats on your great success. Keep it up.
  • I'm on a medically supervised weight loss plan. My first week, was 500 cal. and 10 carbs. I lost 18 lbs. that week. (I also learned to appreciate water.) I had an appetite suppressant that I took then, but I no longer need them. I couldn't have begun my journey very successfully without that week because it kicked my carb…
  • I have a water bottle with a straw built into it. I suck on the water bottle while I'm doing other things. The water replaces my former candy or other bad stuff I used to have. If I must have calories, a protein bar or shake is great.
  • White chocolate covered, double-stuffed Oreos. Yes, there is a sweet tooth in me that I'm trying very hard to hold in.
  • I have them now and love them because I'm treadmill girl and other shoes would wear out and the metal in the back would dig into my foot. These have no metal and have worn very well. They are really worn out, but I have put pads in the bottom and it works fine. I have to get new ones soon but I want the same ones, so I'm…
  • I have a water bottle with a straw in it so you suck on it to drink. I now am into the habit instead of stuffing my face with candy, I stuff my face with water. The sucking helps deter the cravings as much as the water itself. If I do get hungry, my favorite snack it to microwave a baby bell light cheese (50 cal.) until it…
  • I eat 7 at 45 cal or 15 at 90 for a snack. No more. And not every day.

  • My goal is 90-100 grams a day, but I rarely hit it. (Today I'm at 81.) MFP adds more on for exercise, but I am still trying to hit my base amount. I have gotten used to eating things with little or no carbs and trying to bump them up is hard for me. It is also hard to eat as much as I should in a day, but I'm getting there.
  • I would suggest substituting a cup of a vanilla protein shake for the milk.
  • I try not to eat after dinner, but when I have to have something it is usually sugar-free Jello. It fills me up but doesn't really add to the calorie load at 10 cal. If I'm extremely hungry, I'll have a protein shake or bar, but that doesn't usually happen.
  • I weigh every day I go to the gym. I don't have a home scale because I don't trust their accuracy. I track that weight on another app. I only log in here when I go for my weigh-ins on Thursdays. My understanding is that eventually I'll be scaled down to going in every two weeks. Not sure what my plan will be then. Perhaps…
  • I used to drive my hubby crazy pulling out wrappers out of the trash and looking at the calories and carbs and such. Now he thinks about that and doesn't want me digging through the trash so he will bring me the labels to look at before he starts cooking. They will slowly begin to realize what you need once you start…
  • I cannot find any autobiographies of him, but anything written by Jack LaLanne is bound to help you out. He is one guy who understood fitness in all its aspects.
