Viviakay: The arc trainer sounds like a piece of equipment my gym has. I have used it and like it. It does burn a higher number of calories and doesn't seem to put added stress on any joints, etc. Hope you like it! Bobbie

The portion control is the biggest thing for me, too. Psychologically it is nice not to have to think about having more because you know the portions are already correct.
