  • I'm also the victim of the latest Steam sale. Got a couple of gifts (original Borderlands, South Park: Stick of Truth), gave a few gifts (Final Fantasy remakes), and have been hovering feverishly over a few more (Tomb Raider Collection, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series.) Plus, still neck-deep in Dragon Age: Inquisition…
  • I've heard there were issues with the previous gen consoles, but don't know specifics. I have also heard that BioWare is working on some across-the-board fixes for all platforms, but as is their custom, they will provide no ETA on when that will happen.
  • I've been eyeballs-deep in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Man is this an awesome game! If you haven't got it yet, what are you waiting for? Don't walk...RUN...and go get a copy! Looks absolutely gorgeous on the new-gen consoles and the PC, and even on previous-gen hardware, it doesn't look half-bad (about on par with how DA:…
  • Been playing the crap out of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The first DLC for that rolls out next Tuesday (get to play as Jack'sclone! w00t!) Also that Tuesday the Halo: MasterChief Collection hits, so will be hitting that pretty hard. And then one week from then (Nov. 18) Dragon Age: Inquisition comes out, and I will be off…
  • In about 11 hours, I'll be pewpew-ing in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. B)
  • Pretty much same as garnerish: I am cursed with TWC flaky upstream. I tried it a couple times, but it chugged so bad it slowed down actual game play to a slideshow. The day FiOS comes to my street, I'm switching! Typically watch Ellohime, Cohh, MMODen, and a handful of others.
  • Just got Shadow of Mordor last night (love it!) As far as pending games, in no particular order of preference or acquisition: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (PC)* Halo: The Master Chief Collection (XB1)* Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4)* Evolve (PS4)* Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4)* The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4) The Order: 1886…
  • Well, after the ginormous letdown that was Destiny, I'm cautiously looking forward to playing Shadow of Mordor later today. I figure even if it sucks, at least it will have a story (unlike the aforementioned Destiny.) But I'm not bitter... :grumble:
  • Yep, that one's on my short list as well. Another one that had a lot of potential that the developers could never quite realize or capitalize on.
  • Pretty much gave up on Destiny...too thin a storyline to keep my interest. Maybe DLC will revitalize it, maybe not. Anywho, been playing Borderlands 2, getting ready for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel next month. Will also be picking up Shadow of Mordor next week, so there's that.
  • Here's a little vid I did last night...landed a 'nade to the face of a Fallen Captain. Hillarity ensues... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH8tGmrDdh4
  • Sent you a FR over PSN, but then noticed in your profile you list it as Hunterkiller76. Which one is it? :glasses:
  • Being an unrepentant alt-aholic, I of course had to create one of each class. I like them all, but am gravitating toward the Warlock (not surprising, as it was my favorite during Alpha and Beta.) Really enjoying it so far!
  • I played both DA's. Obviously preferred Origins, but 2 wasn't as bad as some made it out to be. Looking forward to Inquisition, although TBH I never saw the fascination (or immense controversy) over "relationships" in the games. I never actively sought to bed a companion in either the Dragon Age or Mass Effect games: they…
  • Soooo my much-anticipated Destiny Launch Day didn't go off quite as planned. The UPS guy decided to save me for dead last on his route last night...which means I didn't get my copy of the game until 8:00. Then of course the game had to patch. Then I find out that my PS Plus lapsed...on SUNDAY! I don't even know how that…
  • Here's an interesting article about this topic: http://www.wired.com/2014/05/xbox-one-kinect/
  • This was likely driven by economics: Sony has sold roughly 2 million more PS4's than Microsoft XBox One's during the same time period, since there respective launches were only separated by one week in November 2013. Pricepoint is consistently one of the main reasons given by consumers for choosing the PS4 over the XBox…
  • Steam had a sale on Dragon Age: Origins (including "Awakenings" and all the DLC) for 75% off this weekend...so I got the Complete Edition for about $7. I played this when it first came out almost 5 years ago, and even have the discs around here...somewhere. But with Inquisition coming out later this year, I decided to play…
  • Currently downloading Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut on the PS4. It was only $15, and you get to blow crap up in space in a cool-looking ship/robot thing. What's not to like? :glasses:
  • There's a group for that! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/36-mfp-gamers I'm on PSN and XBL as StarGeezerTim, feel free to add me. I don't play many shooters, but did just finish inFAMOUS: Second Son on the PS4, great game. Welcome and good luck!
  • Never got it on the PC, although I may look into it on the PS4 when it rolls out.
  • I have both, and while I'm enjoying the XB1, I have to admit I like the PS4 more at this point. BTW, do yourself a favor and download Warframe. It's free to play, and a blast. Enjoy! Oh, and hit me up on PSN. ID: StarGeezerTim
  • Glad to hear others are enjoying it as much as I am. I tend to play these sorts of games slowly, doing all the side-quests first and exploring. So I'm still on my first run through, playing Good. I've also done the Paper Trail DLC, which is actually pretty good so far, and will have 5 more episodes to go over the ensuing…
  • Hiya, old (bordering on ancient) gamer here. Everything from Pong onward. And before that, as a kid I was huge into mechanical arcade games like S.A.M. and of course pinball. Seen 'em all, probably have forgotten many. Anywho, welcome and feel free to add me. :)
  • Not gonna lie, the one I'm waiting for on the XB1 is the next installment of Halo. I needs ta know what happened to Cortana! I'm taking early money that Dr. Halsey uses some sort of Promethean tech to either bring her back or somehow make her a fleshy.
  • Played the beta on the XB1, it was "meh", but then again I'm not a big FPS player. If you're looking to scratch that big, stompy robot itch, try MechWarrior Online. I've played it off and on since about last August, and it's not bad.
  • Saw it this morning. My Batarang is tingling!
  • Haven't played in quite a long time, but for about 4+ years I was a Brandywine "Wino!" Viva la Populs!
  • Well, this sucks... http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/02/18/bioshock-dev-irrational-games-has-layoffs-changes-focus Not mentioned in this article was that the BioShock IP moves over to 2K Games, who may or may not capitalize on the franchise sometime in the future. In any event, I have serious reservations whether a new…
  • I've dabbled, but my upstream bandwidth is spotty so until I get done doing battle with Time-Warner to look into it and get it fixed, I don't have the heart to keep running a sub-par stream. Soon as we get it ironed out, I'm all in. :) http://www.twitch.tv/stargeezertim
