Good idea. I think planning is key. I need to plan food. Plan healthy treats. Plan meditation etc to help with stress.

It's at work, or I buy it while I'm at the shops and eat it in the car, or at the servo etc.

I am aware of what I drink - I don't stress about logging it though. I check my pee, and that gives me an indication of how hydrated I am.

I am starting LCHF, still finding my way

Honestly yes. I find I'm ravenous. Craving *kitten* food. I need to do something about it though. Prep for it or something. My resolve is always at it's lowest when it's that time of the month. I seem to retain water too.

* Planning and prepping meals in advance * having things on hand for those days * drinking my water over the day * meditate - reduces stress eating for me!

I honestly am picking a number. I went the top of my BMI but even if I don't get there I'm happy. I started at 140kg, and my health BMI is about 55kg, so not sure whether that amount of weight loss is sustainable. I'm 82kg atm, hoping to get to maybe about 65kg and then reassess

Hi Michele! Getting healthy with a baby can be hard! Preparation is definitely key. My kids are 10 and 11 now. I started at 310 pounds. My current weight is 183. Hoping to get down to about 145.

I found the opposite, my period was shocking, but now that I've lost weight I'm every 27 days like clockwork and it only lasts 3-4 days at most.

Sounds great - off to find the group.

Thanks heaps. Water is one i need to focus on too!!

Maybe aim for 5lb? SO much better to hit a goal and beat a goal than to fail dismally. I'd recommend changing your goals to positives too. And up the calories! Things like: *eat 5 serves of vegetables *complete a self care routine daily *exercise with a friend etc Quick fixes don't work. You might drive yourself into the…

Personally I think it's great. Fat doesn't automatically mean unhealthy. 'Thin' doesn't automatically equal healthy. I think it's about time that people look at more than just weight as a health meter. To me a lot of my weight is because of shame of being this weight. I get so much **** for being fat. I just think if…

Oh good idea about some OTC diarrhea medications, might pair it with some buscopan for stomach too. I've stuck with it for over a month, and still not felt any difference. I've started on 1/2 500mg tablet once a day. I'm meant to go up to 850mg twice a day.

We'll be here to kick your butt!

These look amazing! Who said being healthy had to be boring!!!! I LOVE skinnytaste :)

I'm also looking forward to this, I had been doing really well up until after xmas, but then with the kids home from school and being out of routine... I haven't always made good choices. I need to get back into the swing of things and hopefully lose a minimum of 1kg a week.
-
That's it... 12wbt isn't going to do the work for me!!!! Plus it is a bit full on, 1200 cal eating is absolute minimum... and then to be exercising 500-1000 cals a day on top. Figure just not sustainable for me.

Right here with you Dea. I will be knuckling down - I need to do either cardio or strength 6/7 days. I am thinking of trying to get out of the house for uni... I tend to graze at home. But I do just need to focus on breaking the habit too. This week I'm going to track all my food. I'm going to have some not great things,…

Wow - what a transformations! You have made such a difference :) Congratulations

I get it a bit because I'm eating 1500 cals, and I do a bit of exercise and don't eat my exercise calories. I just look at the quality of food that I'm eating, and then decide whether it was good enough or not.

Yes I'm also trying to lose for baby! Want to get into some really good healthy habits before TTC too. Hoping to start TTC by Feb/March next year.

I've had a few.... got called a baby elephant by a total stranger. My uncle frequently has a 'joke' (um funny to who?) where he always asks if I like to cook, and then says well you certainly like to eat! Another thing that has stayed with me... I went to an OB/GYN due to major period issues (ie I'd had my period…

Everything in moderation! I have bacon and eggs some mornings. I just make sure it's under 300 cals. I do shortcut bacon, eggs scrambled with a little skim milk (I do them in the microwave), usually to a tomato and some sauteed mushrooms. Divine :) Keeps me full for ages too.

Soups are always good - whatever veggies you have to use up, or were going cheap at the fruit/veg shop. Just keep in mind things like corn, potato/sweet potato etc are higher in cals than other vegs. I also tend to use tinned tomatoes as a base, and just some stock. I also use recipe bases - I never do exactly what they…

I'd definitely do a traineeship - also see if there are any perks of a traineeship - ie free use of the gym!

What a pain!!! You usually feel by ordering a salad that you are doing the right thing, not blowing your diet! I agree with others that I now plan what I'm going to eat before I go out. Means that I can enjoy myself knowing I'm not eating too many calories.
