Reebok Zigs! They slide on the floor quite easily so you don't stress your knees and ankles, but they have the cushion of a running shoe for the jumping. A lot of the Zumba education specialists wear Zigs. The shoes on Zumba.com are not so hot. Not cushion or support at all.

I have a hard time with that, too. But I have a lot of weight to lose, so I can afford to eat less. It all depends on how much weight you have to lose. If it is 15-20 pounds, then you need to eat more because your body feels like it's at a healthy weight and your metabolism will slow if you create too much of a calorie…

You guys need to find a different Zumba class! I have been to classes where you barely break a sweat, but the Zumba class I'm so passionate about we really crank it up! We do 35 minutes of high energy aerobic activity, followed by 25 minutes of toning. During the toning portion, we focus on our muscles, and although we…

Zumba is a BLAST!!! I log my zumba class under Aerobics/High Impact. That gives the closest to what my heartrate monitor says I burn. But it…

Many of the people in my Zumba classes wear heartrate monitors. They usually get in the upper 600s for an hour, but it has gone all the way up to 800 depending on the dances we do. When I log, I usually log as 60 minutes of Aerobics, high impact. Enjoy the Zumba... it's SOOOO fun!!!

For the last 10 - 15 pounds, try Jillian Michaels' book Making the Cut. It's all about losing those last 10-15. I haven't gotten to that point yet, so I can't really advise you, but I do know that the last 10-15 is a totally different animal than when you're trying to lose 50+... I would almost bet money that your problem…

The good thing about Zumba is you can do it at your own pace and still follow the moves. If you're very advanced, use a lot of jumping and bouncing in your steps. If you're a beginner, do the steps, but just bob up and down and don't actually jump. I started taking Zumba classes as soon as the doctor gave me clearance to…
