I'd suggest swimming. I've never had ACL surgery so not sure what you're allowed but I'd think you could swim even if you're not allowed to kick (or at least don't use the bad leg). If you do it right it's a great workout even without kicking!

You gotta realize that while you're trying to be good and trying to be healthy you can't expect everyone else around you to do the same. Especially if they don't have weight problems. Growing up I was always the heavy one in the family even though I always ate less then everyone else. My brothers were naturally skinny…

Count me in. Didn't delete my account but I'm on round 3 of trying to be good again and I need to loose a LOT of weight so anything to keep me going while I try. Sounds like the group would be fun.

Need to lose about 130 lbs. Just started again today. Was really good this time last year. Lost over 20lbs and then lost my motivation and gained it all back and an extra 10. Hopefully this time I can stay motivated to meet my goal!

My mom used to have it. She wore it all the time (on her upper arm). The only time she took it off was when she was taking a shower. She found it worked really well for her. Helped her lose over 100lbs. I stole it from her for a month and found that I liked it as well. It's nice that it tracks all activity not just when…

There's a show on food network that I like that has some great ideas for healthy meals (and snacks) I like it because most of them seem pretty easy and they all give you the nutritional info for the servings. http://www.foodnetwork.com/hungry-girl/recipes/index.html

If it makes you feel better about your Monday my tire blew out driving to work ( I substitute teach) before anything was open, while still dark, in a crappy part of town, and I left my cell phone at home. Had to walk back towards the house to try and call the school to let them know that I either wouldn't be coming or…

Some how whenever I pack my lunch the day before I leave the house the next morning with the lunch still in my refrigerator. It's rather annoying

I've been having that problem too, but I'm trying to make sure I eat at least 1200 although there are days that I just can't seem to make it there. I was at 1199 today, but dang it I'm not hungry. Why does exercise sometimes make it so you're not hungry??? Seems contrary.

If you're having problems with your knees try doing stuff that's low impact. I'm not doing any of the dvd's right now just walking and swimming but I'm still losing it. My mom lost over 100 lbs and all she ever did was cardio (treadmill, bike, etc.) and weights. Don't feel bad if you can't do a dvd and as someone else said…

Come to FL, they're every where. Course I can understand that as it's hotter'n hell most of the year. If I ever look decent in just a sports bra I may take it up too...
-
I haven't bought it yet but as soon as I get some money I'm planning on buying the under armor sports bra that zips up the front. I've heard really good things about it. Supposed to be VERY supportive and I've heard comfortable as well. And not a struggle to get into since it has the front zip

oops that quote didn't work.....and no I'm not doing meal replacements. However I worked with a personal trainer a couple of years ago for a few months and she told me not to replace more then 1 meal...

I found that if you air pop white popcorn and add some seasoning it doesn't equal a lot of calories and you can eat a fair amount of it. (6 cups popped is only 120 calories) I like it with a little parmesan cheese and chili powder but you could do lots of different spices (and if you really want butter get some spray…

Does 5'8 count??? It's only an inch

If you're finding you're getting over heated try putting a fan to blow on you. You might also be going at a faster pace on the treadmill then what you were running on the track which is why you were getting overheated. Honestly though I don't run so not sure. I'm trying to start (soon as I get rid of my shin splints) so am…

supposedly you should be about 143. Your recommended weight range for your height is 127 to 159 (will also depend on your body frame) That's according to various sites that say what you're supposed to be based on your height. Good Luck!

Try changing what you're doing. If you normally run, try swimming or cycling. If you really enjoy running try running at different speeds, times, add some stairs, etc. but I'd at least alternate one of those times with something else. I've always heard that if your body gets used to doing something that you may find you…

If it makes you feel better I'm just over 5'8 and I'm supposed to be between 133 and 155 or something like that. Depends on what sight you're looking on. So you're 7 inches shorter then me but I'm trying to only weigh 15 pounds more then you. You're looking great though!!!

@glittermouse: I love your rabbit!!!!

Don't beat yourself up over it. Try and exercise. Try and eat well. But if you don't do it one day don't stress out. There's always tomorrow. The other thing with the whole eating thing. If you know you stress eat and eat out of boredom try and do something else when you find yourself doing it (preferably before you start…

I'd say yes. If you don't give into your cravings you may find you wind up eating more of it then you would otherwise. As long as you're taking into account the calories I don't see why not.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/healthy-eating/the-lowdown-on-sugar/index.html It's an interesting article that I happened to read the other day. The woman that writes it is a registered dietician. Hope it helps! Good Luck with the weight loss!

Congrats!!! You look awesome

Good Luck!!!. I love my bad food too but I've been losing weight even though I haven't been that strict with my diet. Trying to eat better but not limiting it. If I want chocolate I eat chocolate. I just make sure that I eat within the calories that mfp set for me. In about 2 weeks I've lost almost 7 lbs. Eventually…

I was on foodnetwork.com yesterday and happened to get on Ellie Krieger site (she's a dietician and show host for food network) On her site I found something that said don't worry to much about the sugars that are found naturally in fruit, milk, etc. but the sugars that are added to foods. If you're interested in reading…

My mom used to do the whole weigh in every day thing. She stole my scale to do it!! Then she started working with a personal trainer. He yelled at her and told her she was banned from weighing in more then once a week. She finally gave me the scale back because she found she couldn't stop weighing herself if she had the…

If it's just munchies and you're not craving something in particular I'd try doing something else (like go for a quick walk, play with the kids) what ever might take your mind off it for awhile. I read some where that cravings usually last only 20 minutes so if you can get your mind off it for 20 minutes you might stop…

You can do some research ahead of time to get an idea of what might be okay to order. http://www.shapefit.com/restaurants/cracker-barrel-calories.html looked like it had some good info. I just googled cracker barrel nutrition.
