Okay peeps where are all of you? Back from my travels. Started week 4. Did a double today - cardio power & resistance followed by plyo circuit. Back on track.
-
Congratulations on finishing your hybrid. Another feather in your cap.
-
I have a Polar FT7 HRM and so far during my insanity round (just entering my 4th week), my max HR is around 158 - 162. My max heart rate (@85%) is supposed to be 164 so I think I am pretty much maxing out in the workouts.

Back on track(well, kinda). Was scheduled to do pure cardio today but did not get up in time. Ran at lunch instead. Burned 373 calories so I figured the running was an effective substitute for the pure cardio.

Back from my travels. I didn't run as much as I wanted but walked a ton more than I thought I would. Unfortunately I caught a nasty cold so I'm trying to recover from that. Going to start my week 4 of insanity tonight (or tomorrow if I can't get to it tonight). The scale moved again for me so that is great - technically I…

Pure Cardio completed this morning. Did not have time for cardio abs. Hope to do that tonight (or maybe AB Ripper X). Burned only 318 calories. Feeling like I'm getting a cold so I was not 100% this morning but I pushed myself through it. Doing some traveling starting tomorrow so I won't be able to check in with all of you…

When you have an exercise in the your exercise database you can adjust the length and calories.
-
The only way to tell is by using a HRM. The amount of calories burned will depend on your sex, age, height and weight. But more importantly, It will also depend on how much you exert yourself during the workout. You can say you completed a certain workout but if you didn't really exert yourself you didn't burn the number…

Way to go Edorice.

I don't know if I can really answer your question as I have never had back problems. Insanity involves jumping, squats and twisting so if these moves would normally hurt your husband's back then I would say that insanity is not right for him. He can always try and then just modify the moves if he feels pain.

Plyo cardio done this morning - official end of week 3. Doing some travelling at the end of this week and into the next so I'm going do what I can and then maybe get some a run or two in. Going to do a week 4a and a 4b to make sure I get all of the insanity workouts in. The best news of all is that the scale finally moved…

Pylo cardio circuit completed this morning. End of week 3. 326 calories burned. What's even better is the scale went down 1.5 lbs this past week. :drinker:

Everything in moderation. Just try and stay away from the breads, limit the amount of gravy you use and also limit the amount of potaotes (and if you like them, steer toward the sweet potoates). If you want to have dessert, have a very small slice of pie (or cake). Always good to get in a good workout in the morning as…

Good job. The first full workout is the toughest. I was impressed by your heart rate as my max is supposed to be 164 - then I realized your in your early 20's. Oh to have a young heart again.
-
Just don't go swimming with that vest on.

Cardio power and resistance done this morning. Burned 326 calories. With the workout tomorrow it marks the end of week 3. I am going out of town for the weekend then will be gone a couple of days for work so I am treating next week as a flex week (I'm calling it my week 3b). Hoping to get 2 insanity workouts in and then do…

I didn't know the Cowboys were still an NFL team.
-
Welcome to the group! Always room for more.
-
Congrats Stooooo. That is a great accomplishment. I'm sure there were days when you didn't want to do the workout but you just have to push through. If you miss a workout it's not the end of the world, just come back and start again the next day.

Whoo Whoo. Let's see if the Brownies can make it a triple shocker by beating the Jets next week. Cardio Power & Resistance for me tonight. Burned almost 500 calories doing Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs on Saturday. Really pushed hard.

I have some measurements I did after I completed my last round of P90X (I will post later). I don't think I've lost any weight yet (just finishing up 3rd week) but have noticed clothes fittiing looser. I know with P90X, most of the weight lost etc. came in the last 30 days so I'm thinking that most of your results will…

Okay, cardio recovery done. Burned only 119 calories but felt good to stretch. Hope everyone is hanging in there.....
-
Pure cardio and cardio abs completed today. Burnded 456 calories. Did a lot better on the cardio abs this time. Cardio recovery tomorrow - a much welcome break.
-
Thanks for the advice. I was going to wait until Insanity is complete...just doing some planning for the future.
-
Plyo circuit completed this morning. Burned 325 calories. Pure Cardio and Cardio abs tomorrow then I get the Cardio Recovery on Sunday - will feel good to give my body a break. Still no budge in the weight but seeing differences in how clothes fit.
-
Congrats on finishing round 4. Your problem with your HRM sounds like the problem I had. Finally gave up and bought a different one.

I should have added that I use a low sodium vegetable broth in my soups so that's why I know my actual sodium level is lower than what it shows.
-
Thanks for looking. The weight watcher meals were actually prepared, not the frozen meals (the dish was already in the database so I didn't enter it myself). Some of the sodium levels are probably higher than they were as I tend to get a little lazy when searching for foods on the database. I will have to pay closer…

I've learned that there IS time in each day for exercise - that the only person preventing me from exercising in the morning is my evil twin telling me to keep sleeping.
-
I've completed two rounds of P90x - one following the Lean program and one following the Classic program. I lost a fair amount of weight but the big difference was in the inches lost and strength gained. I'm in the best shape I've been in for a long time and am totally addicted to the beachbody programs. I currently…
