Up and at em this morning. Ran for 50 minutes (just about 5 miles). I don't know why but the last two times I have ran I have had trouble staying focused. I swear half of being able to run for any length of time or distance is mental. Pushed through and got it done though.

Wow you had a 2 hour workout this morning???? I wish I could get one that long in but I have to leave for work around 7 a.m.
-
I'm still here. Yesterday I ran at lunch and today I got out of bed and completed P90X shoulders and arms. Almost done with my third round of P90X.
-
I did unassisted pullups this morning. :drinker: Been at this for a year and I finally was able to break through.
-
Back on track this morning. P90X chest & back completed. I actually did 2 unassisted pullups!!!!! Major accomplishment for me.

Well it must be Monday because I did not get up and workout. I did a max Insanity workout on Sunday and really pushed it - my whole body hurts!! Will try and get something in tonight - if not I will be at it again tomorrow morning. Will just have to shift my off day for the week back one day.
-
Today is supposed to be an off day for me but I was awake so I got up and did a quick 30 minutes run on the treadmill. Now I can have a couple of beers tonight and not feel guilty.
-
Workout completed this morning. Nice 45 minute run. Feels good to have my workout for the day completed.

Sorry I haven't checked in. I'm still at it although Monday and today I did my workout at lunch. Tuesday I got up at ran 5 miles. Tomorrow morning will be another run day. Sorry to hear about your shoulder BeLight. Hope it heals fast.

The good news is I did get up at 5 a.m. this morning. The bad news is that I had some stuff to take care of before I went to work so I couldn't get my workout in. The good news is that I ran at lunch so the workout for today is complete. Tomorrow is an off day for me.

Good for you.

Morning everyone. Completed P90X shoulders & arms this morning. The alarm went off and I almost talked myself into staying in bed. Then I told myself "just get up, you will be mad at yourself if you don't". Glad I got out of bed.

I up for joining the 5am gym crew team. I was doing the 5 am morning routine for about 9 months (April '10 to January '11). Had some conflicts that prevented me from doing my workout in the morning but can not restart my morning routine. So far so good this week - Monday and Tuesday morning workouts complete. I am…

I didn't knowr Carraba's is considered high end.

I have also been thinking of trying these workouts. For those of you who do these, did you buy the interval timer, sand bag etc. or are you using other items.

I've done two rounds of P90X and one round of Insanity. Currently doing a hybrid of P90x and Insanity. I too like to run and I find that I actually prefer to run for my cardio versus doing the Insanity program. The P90X will give you your strength training (which you also like to to do) but Insanity alone will not give you…

Good luck. I've did one round of Insanity (after doing two rounds of P90X). I didn't lose any weight doing Insanity but I did lose inches all over. It will kick your butt for sure. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt it go too repetitive since each month only had 3 "true workouts" (the fourth workout being a…

Great question. I'm 5"4.75" (just went to the doctor and that's what she said I was). I am currently at 135 and thought that I wanted to get down to 130 but I've been stuck at 135 for a couple of months now but I'm still losing inches and gaining strength. I'm thinking that 135 might be where I'm supposed to be.

I've done two rounds of P90X and I am currently doing a 3rd round (w/insanity). I see your frustration with just starting out because I was there as well. I started doing all the pushups on my knees and often just fell to the ground in sheer exhaustion/agony over some of the moves. But I kept plugging along. After 2+…

I was mostly a runner prior to P90X (and Insanity) as well. I ran a 1/2 marathon 3 or so years ago. I like P90X/Insanity because it gives me a schedule that I need to follow. Similar to training for a race - you have a schedule that you need to follow in order to be able to complete the race. If I left my exercise schedule…

I'm a morning workout person (never used to be). I used to work out at lunch (office has a workout facility) but seemed to always get sidetracked with meetings etc. So I started getting up at 5 a.m. in April 2010. Been doing that ever since. On the weekends, I need to get my workout done in the morning (I make too many…

Wow IndyFit. P90X is too hard, too long and too complicated for you? Glad that I don't waste my money with "personal trainers".

I see your conclusion on anothe thread. Thanks.

So what's your overall opinion of TF? Based on your posts, it sounds like some of the DVD's are good and other not so good. Overall, it is worth it?
-
No problem. I actually figured it out (took me a few minutes but I did it).

This actually irks me. In 20 years, people won't know how to spell.

My favorite is from Core Synergistics: "Look it that height hip, I mean hip height"

I heard something about Asylum as well. Don't know when though. I'm thinking of turning down the TV volume and turning on music when I do the P90X workouts - after a couple of rounds of hearing Tony, I'm starting to quote him before he says things and it scares me. LOL.

Neither one is probably correct. When I wear my HRM (with a chest strap) on the elliptical it is calculating the correct heart rate (matches what my watch says) but the calories are overstated by as much as 50%! IMO, the only way to get an accurate measure of calories burned is to use a HRM (with a chest strap) and use the…

Well assuming that 1/5 is 20%. If you cut your pizza into 8 slices, 20% would be 1.6 slices. If you have 3 slices it should be equal to about 1.75 servings.
