Me, too. Nor do I care if anyone else is sweaty...as long as they wipe down their machine after!

Alli, I'm so proud you have taken the first step toward healthy eating by joining MFP! As others have said, mini goals are the way to go. You CAN do this!!!

Zoico is the best...try the chocolate flavor for a treat sometime. I don't drink it anymore, though, because I'm limiting my liquids to 0 calories.

Judgmental people bewilder me. I wish you joy and compassion in the new year. Peace.

I've never seen the film you mention, so I can't comment on that. I don't drink milk because I am extremely lactose intolerant. My health drastically improved when I dropped all dairy from my diet. Also, unless consumers buy raw milk from an organic dairy, they really don't know what chemicals they're consuming, the health…

Nope, I haven't consumed any dairy products in years.

Yes, I'm using halhigdon.com for my 1/2 marathon in March. I have a family member who paces marathons all the time, and he recommends that site.

Congratulations to all of you for exercising today! I thought about it, then decided to take a nap instead.

Against! Who really knows what's in those things.

Well said!

I absolutely agree! Personally, I found that giving up artificial sweeteners actually STOPPED my cravings for sweets, and my mood improved tremendously.

I listen to metal when I'm runnign. Try Rev Theory's "Hell Yeah"-- it never fails to pump me up no matter how long I've been going!

I would be more likely to congratulate someone for working out.

I'm so happy to read positive comments about this breed of dog. I have a rescue American Staffordshire bully, and she is absolutely a "nanny dog." Although she does bark if there is anything out of the ordinary going on around our home, I don't consider that a bad thing. I'm curious as to your definition of "aggressive"…

Bravo!

I agree completely! I thought I couldn't run due to shin splints...then two months ago I bought some good running shoes, began warming up properly, and not a single problem since.

A wise person once said that if you have to ask the question, you already know the answer.

I'm 5'7" and mine is 136 (at 136.5 right now) but I will probably adjust my goal weight eventually to 132. I agree that it's important to set achievable goals at first!

When I eat something like fast food fries, chips, etc., I feel sluggish the rest of the day.

If you have eggs in your home, unfortunately, you may have to bomb. I agree with everyone else that the OTC does not work, unfortunately. Once you get rid of the little suckers, prevent by treating monthly with whatever your vet recomments. Good luck.

I thought so, too.

Breathe. Chew on some crushed ice and make a pot of herbal tea.

You can enter any recipe into the"My Foods" section, and calories will be automatically calculated.
-
You can do it! Think of this as an adventure in a new lifestyle and a discovery of different ways to enjoy food and exercise.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds delicious and I will definitely try this! I'm vegetarian (would be vegan if not for egg whites and honey) and am always on the lookout for new recipes.

Congrats on your progress so far! I've found that through exercise, my energy level has increased significantly. The first 10 minutes of each workout is the hardest. Push yourself past that, and you will be amazed and how much you can accomplish. Have fun!

Thanks for sharing. I'll check it out!

Thanks for your post. Congrats on maintaining a vegetarian household! I'm vegan, no coffee, alcohol, or sugar/corn syrup/artificial sweeteners. A wheat-free diet has always intrigued me, though. Need to do more research before making the leap and plan to check out that book. Please keep us updated on your progress!

Welcome! I've been vegetarian for 26 years and vegan for 8 of those years. The best place to get started is the Vegetarian Times magazine website. My daughter is a vegetarian, but my husband is a meat eater, so he buys and prepares his own. (But most of the time he eats what I make because he likes it!)

It worked for me back in the mid-80s, but I can't drink them anymore -- lactose intolerant.
