  • Hello ladies, I had my little boy on 5th May and after gaining 30lbs I have 5 stubborn lbs left to lose to get to my pre pregnancy weight.. I've been using MFP to track calories and macro nutrients for a couple of years and weight train when I can! Good luck!
  • Female 35 - 5'6 125lbs Squat - 165 - 5RM Dead - 165 - 5RM Bench - 82.5 3RM Bench is definitely my weakest lift and been stalled for a while so I've dropped the reps to try and break through. My goals: Squat - 220 Dead - 250 Bench - Anything over 90!! Never tested my 1RM...
  • I try to have a weekly target rather than a daily as I tend to eat more on a weekend due to socialising and having the odd glass of wine than during the week while I'm at work...

  • My afternoon snack is 100g of Total Greek Yoghurt with 10g of chocolate protein powder mixed in - it's like a nice chocolatey dessert with loads of protein!
  • Manchester here!
  • Hi, I'm 5'6 and maintain at 122-123lbs on around 1500ish cals. I tend to average my calories across the week so I eat less Monday - Friday while at work in an office and tend to indulge at the weekends...! It's working for me anyway!
  • I'm similar to twixlepennie - my weight varies by about 2 or 3lbs and I weight train 3 times a week with heavy weights with a small amount of cardio - I adjust my calorie intake if I start to gain. My bf% is just under 17%. I'm not making any massive gains in terms of muscle mass but don't expect to..! My fluctuations in…
  • I am also the only woman in the free weights area of my gym. I started by only going in there to pick up heavier dumbells but now I use the squat rack and the bench.. I do find it intimidating and frustrating at times. I am also the only person who does lower body exercises and get so annoyed when a guy uses the only squat…
  • Hi, I'm 5'6 and consider myself a fairly athletic build but I have a small frame - I'm maintaining between 122 - 124lbs and I have assessed my bodyfat % at around 17ish%. I lift heavy 3 times a week with the occasional bout of HIIT. I'm a UK size 8 - 10 and have a lot of trouble finding trousers that fit due to my muscular…
  • I enjoyed it - it was interesting but hardly ground breaking. The conclusion was the "deadly" and "addictive" combination of sugar and fat... How about we just exercise some moderation and enjoy foods as treats or work them into our daily macro allowance? It still comes down to calories in vs calories out. Life would be…
  • Hello! I'm in Manchester, originally from Cumbria but also lived in Newcastle and London! I'm mostly maintaining now and working on exercise goals but feel free to add! :flowerforyou:
  • Happy Birthday!! :flowerforyou:
  • Happy Birthday!!
  • Try to pre log everything so you can plan your meals a bit better. Hit your protein first, then your fat and let the carbs fill the rest. As others have said, chicken, tuna, greek yoghurt, cheese, eggs, protein shakes!
  • Thanks so much - that's about what I thought but glad to have it confirmed by someone more informed!
  • Sorry about that - got the husband to take some back shots this morning!! Hope these are ok: And tensed:
  • Please can I have an estimate? I'm 5'6 and 131lbs Front relaxed Side relaxed Flexed
  • I've just started and I'm another one who is nervous to visit the weights area.. I'm getting more confident but mostly using dumbells apart from for the bench press. I know it's not ideal but will see how I get on until I start using heavier weights and then the squat rack will be a necessity! Currently I'm lifting the…
  • I'm here - I'm in Manchester!
  • I'm 5'6 and currently weigh 9st 3lbs (129lbs). Would like to get down to 9st or see an 8 on the scale so would like to hit 125lbs eventually! My bother in law is a PT and measured my body fat percentage at around 16% so try not to worry about the scales too much but it's a force of habit!!
  • I'm in Sale, Greater Manchester originally from Carlisle - feel free to add me! :-)
  • I used to have ready meals/frozen dinners a couple of times a week after getting home late after exercise but now I make something quick like scrambled egg on toast, baked beans on toast or pasta with a quick tomato sauce.. I'm not keen on having too many processed meals - as others have said, they are often full of salt…
  • Hey! Welcome to MFP - I'm from England too - Manchester to be exact! Been using the site for a while but only started posting on the forum today! Feel free to add me!
  • Every morning. I tend to pretty much eat what I like at the weekend (within reason) so I feel like it keeps me on track during the week. I'm mostly maintaining my weight at the moment so not really trying to track a loss.
  • I try and do a combination of both but with mostly strength training.. I very often do a run, jump off the treadmill and do weights, jump back on for another run and more weights sometimes in 8 - 10 rounds. For example I often choose a weight programme using deadlifts, squat thrusts etc using heavy weights and throw in…
