As someone who moved from Wichita, Kansas to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to be with my boyfriend, I can honestly say that it's the best decision I ever made. At first, I struggled with having to depend on my boyfriend so much. I didn't have a job when I moved up here and I hated feeling like I wasn't pulling my weight. But we…

UGH! I love ModCloth, but I haven't ordered anything from there for fear that it won't fit. I'm 5'10" and I'm afraid those cute, short dresses will be obscenely short on me. That being said, I'm planning on purchasing a dress as my halfway point reward. Ah, it's good to be a girl.

This guy.

"Home is wherever I'm with you." - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros "Home" OR "I wait alone in a woman's room I hardly know. I wait alone and pretend that I am finally home." - Cursive "The Recluse" OR I've become a simple souvenir of someone's kill. And like the sea, I'm constantly changing from calm to ill. Madness…

Welcome to MFP! My name is Aimee. I'm 5'10" and when I started, I was 195 lbs. My goal is to get down to 150. Feel free to add me.

It's totally true. At 270, I wore a 9.5-10. 90 lbs later, my 8.5s are starting to get loose. I guess I just had freakishly fat feet.

When I weighed 270, I wore a 9.5-10. Now, at 185, I wear an 8.5. I guess I just had really fat feet. Compared to the rest of me, I have tiny hands and feet. My boyfriend says I have feet and hands like a carnival worker. But I poke him with my comically small fingers and he shuts up real quick.

Right now, I'm at 185 (5'10"). I usually wear a 10 in jeans, a medium in dresses and a medium/large in shirts. Even though I'm a good 35 lbs away from my goal, I'd just be happy to fit into single digit sizes.

Sorry. I was too busy admiring your Daleks to read the article.

I had a roommate who moved her boyfriend in (rent free), who then moved his friend in (also rent free). So I'd go to sleep every night with the apartment smelling like pot and leave for work every morning with some dude sleeping on the couch. Ended up moving my stuff out while she was at work. Yeah, I'm THAT jerk.

I call that "Please don't fart. Please don't fart. Please don't fart." But I think the pros call it the bicycle.

I've never weighed less that 178 in my adult life, and that was after a year of hard work getting down from my high weight: 270. I still felt doughy, though. I guess I'll aim for 150, but reassess along the way.

I'm in Milwaukee, but originally from Wichita, Kansas. This will be my first Wisconsin winter. I'm pretty much terrified.

I pre-log my dinners and lunches, on occasion, so that I know how many calories I need to make up during the day.
-
Welcome. If you're breastfeeding, you need the extra calories. If you cut back your calories too much while doing so, you'll slow your metabolism and the weight won't come off.

I've found that rocking it on an elliptical machine does not equate to rocking it running. I've tried C25K; it was hard. Even for someone who had no problem with 35 minutes on an elliptical. It's a totally different motion and definitely higher impact. But I'm going to stick with it because, like you, running on bike paths…

Don't think of it as a diet; diets are temporary. This is a tool to help you achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle and a community that's ready to cheer you on every step of the way.

I love adding incline (usually only 5%). Usually I do a mile jogging and walk at an incline the rest of the time. It seems to stretch out my calves and feet, which tend to tighten if I run. Also, watching the calories burned climb powers me through a 35 minute session.

I'm 5'10" and my goal is 150; though I worry that my goal is too low.
-
It really depends on what you put on it. Alone, it's not an awful choice. But if you add cheese and mayo, it gets considerably less healthy.

I'm having a turkey taco salad tonight. Only, like, 4 carbs.

Yes! Death Cab for Cutie. And Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. Dig out some Simon & Garfunkel and Donovan, too. Belle & Sebastian. David Gray. And James Vincent McMorrow. Sorry. I'm kind of a music junkie.

I second the Avett Brothers. Iron & Wine. City + Colour. Ray LaMontagne. Fleet Foxes. Bon Iver. Beirut. The Swell Season.

I've done 30DS in the past. I never stick with it for more than a couple weeks, though. DVD workouts are hard for me. I need the process of suiting up and going to the gym and just being in that environment to get myself into the workout frame of mind. That being said, I did order Jillian's Yoga Meltdown for the days that…

Completely AWESOME. It sounds like you did it the hard (read as "right") way that'll help ensure your long term success and health. Congratulations.

1. Florence + The Machine "Dog Days Are Over" 2. 3OH!3 f. Katy Perry "Starstrukk" 3. Violent Femmes "36-24-36" 4. Foster the People "Color on the Walls (Don't Stop)" 5. Kanye West "Stronger" A good playlist makes all the difference.

Totally naked. Morning. Monday and Friday. After I pee. Before breakfast or even coffee. Wow. I never realized how regimented I am. XD
-
I'm a little older (26), but I'd totally be down for a competition. I'm looking to lose about 35.
-
30 Day Shred will have you sweating and swearing -- in fact, I'd say the sweating to swearing ratio is about 1:1.
-
Florence + The Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" always gets me running (even when I'm 99% certain that I'm going to die).
