Unfortunately I'll have to end this week with 4/5 treadmill walks. My eating is still on track. I woke up this morning feeling like I was drunk. Dizzy, off balance, clouded vision. I went to immediate care and they sent me to the ER for low heart rate. I do have a heart condition and I take meds for that, apparently my…

Treadmill walk 4/5 complete. My eating has been on point. No alcohol so far this week! I was able to get my 10,000 steps in for Tuesday, which is significant because Tuesdays have been the only day for the last 4 weeks that I haven't hit my goal. Maybe TMI (sorry!) but my menstrual cycle has been seriously wonky since…

2/5 treadmill walks done this week. Down 1.6lbs since my weigh in on Friday morning. Had some alcohol Friday and Saturday night, but kept it within reason. My plan is to not have any this week until Friday. I'm leaving for the beach in 2 weeks and would love to be 5 lbs lighter for it.

5/5 treadmill walks for the week complete! Didn't have any alcohol for the last 3 evenings, and my weight suddenly dropped 1.5 lbs this morning. This confirms to me that giving up alcohol during the week is going to help me reach my goals. Now to just keep myself from slacking off over the weekend!

You look overall more defined in the after picture. Maybe they aren't the dramatic results you were hoping for, but I think you look smoking. I would for sure continue for the next 15 days, it's only 30 minutes a day. Congrats!!

Treadmill walk 4/5 complete! Resisted any alcohol last night. Baby steps...

I've completed 3 walks on the treadmill so far this week. I don't think I'll have any issues making my goal of 5 treadmill walks. I am a bit disappointed this morning though. I weighed myself for the first time since starting low carb, after 5 weeks I've lost 14 lbs. I was really hoping to lose 20, since I am starting…

I'll join in! I have been walking on the treadmill and trying to get atleast 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit since the end of February. I have managed to commit to 4 days a week on the treadmill, but I would like to up that to 5 days a week this month.

Well this gives me some hope! And you can bet I won't be cheating again in the near future if it is the cause. I feel pretty normal otherwise, just awful stomach.

I have been eating a good amount of veggies. Probably not as much in one sitting like I did last night. It was a lot of broccoli, green pepper, onion, carrots and whatever brown sauce they use with it.

You look great! Your comment about having to see your parents struggle with health issues and you not wanting your own children to go through that, really hit home for me. Not something I had thought about before honestly, but I'll be adding that to my list of motivators!

Here are my Week 5 Results: SW: 262 CW:258.2 Pounds Lost: 3.8 (1.4%) I've really been struggling these past 2 weeks! I'm still headed in the right direction, but I feel like I should be much better off by week 5.

Sorry! Still feeding the kids. I"ll start a new thread within the hour when I can get upstairs to my computer. It's so much easier than trying to do it on my iPad. Glad to hear you had a great week :)

The challenge is 8 weeks long, and we are just finishing up our 3rd week. Week 4 starts tomorrow. If you look back through the topics, you will find the starting post with the challenge information. We would love to have you join us!

I had a planned cheat day yesterday because it was my nephews birthday party. I wish it would have been on Wednesday or Thursday so I would have had time to get rid of the extra water weight before weigh in. As of yesterday morning, I was 2.4 lbs down, so hopefully I will have retained most of that loss tomorrow morning.…

I'm going to start a new thread later today to get the challenge kicked off. It's for anyone to join, no matter where you are in your journey. Let's make it an 8 week challenge, which will get us through the week of September 8th, with the final weigh in being on Monday September 15th. Each Monday I'll create a new thread…

I thought we could run it similar to the last one. Everyone posts each week their weight lost for the week and also their percentage lost for the whole challenge. We each make our own individual goals. How long would we all be interested in doing this for? I was thinking 8-12 weeks. Let me know what you all think. Sorry,…

This sounds so yummy! Where is everyone finding this vanilla creme stevia? I tried making cheesecake flavored kind but had to use granular splenda because I couldn't find the liquid kind. I ended up throwing the whole batch away because it was disgusting.

I remember reading somewhere that when you're having a craving, to go do some other task for 10 minutes to get your mind off of it and by the time you're done your craving should have passed. It has worked for me!

I've done low carb a few times now and have successfully lost weight adding equal or Splenda to my coffee in the morning. The one thing I try to stay away from is sugar free candy, or the kind that has a bunch of sugar alcohol in it. Something about it does not agree with me, and usually causes my weight loss to stall.…

I took a bit of a break there, sorry for my absence. I'm happy to report that while I was having my "diet break", I managed to maintain my weight loss. This is a big deal for me, because I have always had trouble with maintenance. My updated numbers... Starting weight:266.4 Current weight: 258 Total % Loss: 3.15%

I prefer to weigh in every 2 weeks, so I will check in next week. I've found that if I weigh myself too often it really messes with my mood and sets me back if the number isn't what I was expecting. As a goal for the challenge, I'd like to lose 2.5 lbs a week, which will put me between 11-12% total.

I'll play! I might not end up weighing every week though.

I set mine at 10% Carbs, 30% Protein, and 60% Fat. This combination has been successful for me in the past.
