  • SW 01/2019: 270 10/2019: 205 01/09: 233 01/31: 225 January loss: 8 lbs So last year I was on a mission to get healthy. I stayed very strict until July, losing 8-10lbs a months consistently. Then I sort of lost my drive and started to incorporate some cheat days. I still lost, but only about 2-4lbs a month. Once the…
  • @stormywxs288 This is exactly why I had to stop posting my weight in this challenge! I still follow along and read everyone’s progress, but I only weigh myself once a month. I used to be a daily weigher, and depending on what the scale said, I really let it affect my mood and motivation. I gradually have cut back to…
  • This is just simple math right? Total carbs minus fiber, which both mfp already tracks. Do you want it to be a part of the macros pie chart or something? I’m confused why this is such a big deal 🤷‍♀️. Someone enlighten me!
  • @alayaphelps We all have to start somewhere! I started at 270 lbs on January 7th and weighed in this morning at 224. You can do this!
  • I’m having same issues. Started keto at the beginning of January. I am almost 5 months postpartum and last month had my first cycle. Now 2 weeks later I am having spotting, when I’m supposed to be ovulating. I originally chalked it up to my body just trying to adjust to having my cycle back, but after reading the replies…
  • Sorry I didn’t check in as I had planned. I’m trying not to focus too much on my weight but I do want to be mindful so I don’t gain too much by the end of my pregnancy. My final number for February is kind of a wash because I am recovering from the stomach flu. I am going to just say that I made my goal of not gaining any…
  • Could have been better, could have been worse Jan 31- 261.9 2/4- 262.6 2/11- 2/18- 2/25- 2/28-
  • As expected, I was up quite a few pounds. I’m guessing a few of them are water weight though, so Atleast I have that going for me. My goal for February will be to not gain any weight, but if I could keep the gain to under 2 lbs that would be great too. My last pregnancy I gained a lot of weight right away and then only…
  • I'm going to play again but keep it a bit more realistic at this point for me. My goal will be to not gain any weight in February. I totally let myself eat whatever I wanted for the past 2 weeks and I'm scared to weigh myself. I'll weigh tomorrow morning just so I know what I'm working with, but I'm positive I will be up…
  • I’m being kind to myself and not weighing in this week. I haven’t had any typical morning sickness yet, but I’m very bloated and I feel starved all day and very nauseous if I don’t snack on something. I made a lot of bad choices for sure. I went grocery shopping last night and armed myself with plenty of vegetable and meat…
  • @veronicaringel That dress is beautiful!!! Also wondering where you hide your 158 lbs? You look great!
  • @KnitOrMiss @baconslave Thank you for the advice! I did eat low carb for my last pregnancy, atleast for the first half or so of it. My body tends to like flip a switch when I’m pregnant and it’s like my metabolism all of a sudden decides to start working. I did not track my foods last time so I’m not sure how many calories…
  • Thanks all! I’m still very early, it came as quite a surprise since we were actively trying to prevent pregnancy. Guess we weren’t very good at it lol. It’s been almost exactly a year since I was pregnant last time(due dates are about 8 days apart), unfortunately that ended as an ectopic pregnancy. I’m hoping to still lose…
  • Cut off the rest of my reply. Didn’t like my wide eyed face emojis lol. 01/01- 260.3 01/07- 258.3 01/14- 256.5 01/21- 01/28-
  • I started out the week strong once again and was down 5 lbs by Thursday, but wine and chocolate took over this weekend. Still a loss, but could have been better. I did cut out diet soda and I didn’t feel the need to snack as much. I’m determined to not unravel this weekend and stick to my eating goals. Wine definitely…
  • I have the Fitbit Aria scale. I like that it syncs with my apps, not sure how accurate the bf% is. Its nice to have different profiles for my husband and I. It is pretty pricey in my opinion for a scale though. It was a splurge when we got it
  • My doctor is fine with me eating this way, although he wanted me to eat more protein and cut back on the fat. But the low carbs he was all for.
  • @jenconv I usually don’t even drink soda(like maybe 1 on a weekend), I get my caffeine from my morning coffee. But my husband likes it and he bought some packs of cans to have at home while he was off from work the past few weeks. Since I gave up my nightly alcoholic drink, I found myself replacing it with a diet soda, and…
  • I started out the week strong and I WAS down 4 lbs as of Thursday morning, but in my typical fashion I had an unraveling over the weekend, and now here I am. I’m honestly surprised I kept 2 lbs off. This week my only goal will be to stick to my eating goals. Once I can get that under control, I’ll work on adding an…
  • I will try to keep up this challenge. I had gotten down to 250, but after taking the last 2 weeks off and eating and drinking whatever I wanted, I wasn’t surprised by my number this morning. I suspect I’ll lose quite a few pounds quickly to start because of that. My goal will be to lose 12 pounds this month. Not sure if…
  • I usually get plain coffee and add one of their sugar free syrups for flavor and half and half. I’m sure there are better options, but it works for me. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that your Caramel Brûlée Latte is going to have to be just a treat and not an every day or weekly thing.
  • I'm not familiar with an 'egg fast', is it basically an eggs only diet for a few days? I followed the “rules” from this article. I only did 3 days for my first attempt, and honestly that was enough for me. http://www.mysweetketo.com/5-days-egg-fast/
  • I recently tried out an egg fast. My local Walmart sells a box of 60 eggs for $1.88. Groceries were dirt cheap that week! Switching to low carb is actually cheaper for my husband and I because before we would order out dinner probably 5 nights a week, and he would eat out lunch 5 days a week. So even though I am buying…
  • I'll play this month! I'd love to lose 10-12 lbs this month. My starting weight for October: 10/1: 247.0
  • My 2 favorites are vanilla vodka and soda or gin and soda with half a lime squeezed in. Although, I've found that I do not lose weight if I drink alcohol and I have problems with moderation. So lately I have been staying away completely, maybe having 2 drinks on a Saturday every other week. Great improvement considering I…
  • @RalfLott Wow! I wish I had known this back when my husband was still taking the medicine. His sister still takes it, so I'm going to forward this information on to her.
  • Did a doc ID the genetic issue? Just out of curiosity, what sort of A1c is he running? (In my hard-won experience, many PCPs extend the upper range of "normal" into what many T2Ds would consider beyond pre-diabetic and into full-blown diabetes.) Good for him if he's got it under control with diet & lifestyle changes!…
  • This one isn't whey protein, right? Is there a reason why someone would choose this kind over another?
  • These recipes were from an article I found titled "7 Muscle Building Smoothie Recipes". So I guess to be fair they weren't trying to market them solely as protein shakes. But most of them had 35-45g of protein and anywhere from 35-60g carbs. My biggest issue is that I'm pretty confused on what the correct balance of…
  • This may be what I need to get. I had looked at it before, but didn't order because of the price. If it truly tastes good mixed with water though, it's worth paying that much.
