I tend to log my weight prior to any consumption of liquids or food.

Have you tried an appetite surpressant of some sort? I've found that drinking a cup of green tea (or taking a green tea capsule) half an hour before I eat helps with over-eating and its a natural surpressant.

My friend did that once - bought a few pair of jeans as motivation, and they are collecting dust in her closet somewhere. Different things motivate different people and if you think it will work for you then definitely do it! But personally I enjoy that feeling of hopping into a pair of jeans and they have started to…

I'd eat something if I were you. I don't know about other people but I cannot sleep well if I am starving - my body hates me for not feeding it so won't let me get to sleep! Do you have something around the house relatively fulfilling, healthy and low calories? Like an apple?

Yes you are likely to lose muscle mass from endurance exercise. I am actually doing that on purpose now, because after much research I had learnt the best way to lose muscle off my thighs was to do long runs. Also, I am sticking to 1200 calories a day and have found that it is getting harder and harder to run because I…

I know this feeling too and I have definitely fallen off the wagon a few times after looking at myself in the mirror - feeling disappointed and thinking "is all this hard work really worth it?" I realised I had such a bad attitude towards it all. How I try and see it now is, "It may take 12 weeks (or insert time frame…

Motivation right there!

I have mine set to Sedentry due to a desk job too. What I do is log ANY activity I actually do, not just my workouts. ie. Walk the dog for 20 minutes, cooking or food preparation for 1 hour, vacumming/mopping floors for 45 minutes, etc. You'll find quite a few activities are in the MFP database, but the ones that aren't, I…

I downloaded the App about 2 weeks ago and when I tried to register, I had found I was already a member and signed up in 2008! That really goes to show how long I have been trying to get fit and lose weight - but eversince I downloaded the app I have been addicted to it and now log onto the site every day too. Definitely…

My gym has Zumba classes and we can take them for free as a member. I also have the DVD's and have found that the 45 minute Sculpt & Tone (with the zumba sticks) really gets me sweating because every time I do it, I get better at doing the moves so can pump them out harder - then sometimes follow up with the 20 minute ab…

I would love to take on this challenge! What a great way to motivate everyone! My goal is 10,000!

I take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in my protein shake after a workout, and 1 teaspoon with each green tea after I eat lunch & dinner. I believe that Green Tea & Coconut Oil is a killer combination! Green Tea has been proven to have a thermogenic effect and Coconut Oil heads straight to your liver for immediate use as…
