  • Not to be a stickler but to educate, but type 1 is autoimmune also and is what people with hashimotos develop because the pancreas is eaten away by the bodys own cells , just like the thyroid. Its part of the disease process.
  • Hello Hi Jen, I am erin and I am in the same boat as you, my issues are from Hashimoto Thyroiditis. Its depressing to get weight off when your body fights you tooth and nail.   • If you eat less than 1200 calories a day your body goes into starvation mode and likes to store whatever you are eating into fat. The way your going at is sounds very unhealthy.
