  • I was diagnosed at 18 yrs old with chronic depression. Medication, exercise, sun, and water are great ways to help regulate it. Both you and your husband should seek help. Also, what you eat may help as well. Don't cut your carbs back too drastically, it can actually make the depression worse.
  • ok. i lived on okinawa. Beautiful place.
  • where do you live in japan? I remember living there after I had my son and gained a large amount of weight. Living off base there was no where to buy clothes and the bmx on base only had a limited amount of clothing for my size.
  • I hate buying clothes myself, especially while trying to lose weight. What I have found to be an inexpensive way to buy clothes when needed is going to the thrift stores. I know that not everyone is into buying gently used clothes but you can get a few outfits for the price of a brand new outfit.
  • I'm in! I think that is a good number to shoot for and a great way to get this going again for me!
  • That is so awesome for you that you are taking control of your portion sizes. I can't wait to hear more about your journey!!
  • Thank you for the recipes!!! They all sound delish. I hope the family likes them since it will be something different from the usually holiday fair food.
  • I log it as circuit as well because you are doing a little of everything with no breaks in between.
  • I just got the DVD set with the 4 mile on it. I have done the 2 mile a couple times now and ready to move up to the 3 mile. I find these to be one of the best workout videos for those who want a good sweat and need to do low impact.
  • That is just crazy cool! Congrats to both of you and your husband
  • This might sound silly but I am starting to give up my elastic waist pants because I can now wear my jeans!!! Even my son was shocked I was wearing jeans yesterday...he thought that was the greatest thing. I will still keep my sweats around until the end of cold weather but they will not be a part of my daily wardrobe…
  • I would like to join if there is still room>???
  • I think you need to use this website as a tool, and remember that nothing is concrete and permanent. You can use it to look back and see where you made healthy and unhealthy choices, and learn what is making you feel healthier and happier about yourself. I know when I tried weight watchers I was feeling that obsessive…
  • Congratulations on your NSV's! I feel those are more important than scale victories.
  • Congrats on getting yourself to the gym and feeling better than you thought! That is a success all in itself. I am happy today because I am with the improvements I have made in my life and looking forward to many more happy moments! This morning I told my son how well I was doing and he is proud of me..makes it all worth…
  • That is super awesome! Thanks for sharing! You and I are started around the same weight..so it is inspiring and motivating to me to see what my transformation holds in store for me!
  • I get that same way sometimes...but what keeps me going is thinking of all the things that I want to do and will be able to do when I am smaller and healthier. Look towards the reasons why you are getting healthy and focus on those.
  • WOW, you look amazing! Such a great accomplishment at a young age.
  • Oh my god, you look freakin fantastic! I would love to hear what you did to reach your goal (foods, exercise).
  • That is such a wondeful story! I am glad you are happy with yourself, the way you feel and look, and the success you are having. I hope the cute guy calls you
  • Thank you so much for sharing. It helps put things into perspective and makes this journey real. I am going to copy and print these five things so that I can use them to remind myself on the days I don't feel like this is all worth it. My health and happiness is worth everything!!!

  • I love this quote!!! It makes this journey of getting healthy and weight loss much more bareable. Looking at it in the long term can be very discouraging. I am going to put this on my fridge, and make it party of my daily diary!!
  • Hi April, I also tried Weight Watchers in the past but it just didn't work for me. I know when I was on that program I was constantly thinking about food and how I was going to budget my points. This is my second time using MFP and I am loving it. I hope that what your doctors told you gives you motivation to stick with…
  • You had an extremely busy day and everything you did burned calories. Sometimes you need to rest so that when you do workout you get the most out of it. Don't stress over missing one day.
  • Congrats on losing those 3lbs!!! People can say things without thinking first. I am sure the friend meant their statement is the kindest way,but remember who you are doing this for=YOU. I hope you had other friends who just shared in the joy and happiness you had for yourself that day and let the rest go because it doesn't…
