  • I am going for surgery as well. I met with the nutritionist on March 13th. I also have issues with my right knee sometimes. What is causing the knee pain? Prior injury? With mine it's a torn ACL that was never repaired (long story). So I know that I need to take it slow, watch how much weight I use in doing squats, the…
  • 8 days is amazing! I am currently trying to quit smoking and thinking of different ways to replace smoking. I am brushing my teeth when the urge hits, and also trying a hypnosis app on my phone. Good luck and keep reminding yourself why you are quitting!!
  • I weigh on Mondays for here, Thursday for my TOPS meetings. They are different scales so I know the numbers will be different by a few lbs. Try to focus more on how you feel and look. Numbers can be very deceiving.
  • Great job on staying determined and getting back on track after your concussion. Congrats on your success and your continued health!!
  • I am 39 and have about 90lbs to lose. Just got serious this last week, I weigh in on Mondays.
  • Please add me. I can't seem to find the group.
  • I will be going to Vegas in Aug and I plan to walk to as many places as possible. Stay active, plan to get a good walk in the morning or at night, eat veggies instead of chips, fruit instead of dessert. And if possible, do a little grocery store trip for yourself. Set yourself up for success. If you family loves you, they…
  • You can definitely add me! I am starting over again with more determination than ever.
  • Venting is healthy so it's ok to do so once in awhile. Make sure you are eating all your calories, don't put your body in starvation mode.
  • I am enjoying the pics on this thread. Very motivational. Thank you for sharing everyone.
  • I am also starting over. I will add you
  • I just ordered my shakes and 21 day fix extreme yesterday. I am super excited to try it. I know it's a little spendy but I look at it as having a stepping stone in the right direction, an opportunity to learn more before venturing on my own.
  • Hey hope you have had a great day. Sending you positives vibes for success on your journey!!
  • It is very expensive, there are other products out there that would work just as well. It might help get your weight loss started but I wouldn't use it for very long, it's better just to learn to eat better.
  • It's hard to stay on track when you lose motivation, or when you don't have the support. Maybe look at those aspects as well. I am back on here after being gone for a long time but something in me has changed and now I am ready to get back into it. GOOD LUCK!!
  • This is probably my 3rd or 4th time back on MFP but I think this time will be different because something has clicked in me where I want to be more active, not just eating better. I am going to officially start tracking food again on Thursday after since I weigh in every Thurs for my TOPS meeting. You can do it, just…
  • I love the open diary idea!
  • I have a desk job so getting my steps in is a huge goal for me. I will add you!!
  • I like the why list. I am only 38 but I can relate to the can't stop eating crap feeling too. My friend keeps telling me I gained weight because I am stressed. Maybe I am still a little but that cannot be an excuse forever. Keep your chin up.
  • Great reminder!
  • I used to give myself a cheat day but I have come to realize that the one cheat day turns into a whole weekend of cheats. So I think its a better idea to allow yourself to eat what you would usually consider a cheat food/meal, but make sure you stay within your daily calorie goal. You may find that those "cheat" foods…
  • Thanks everyone for your input. It was interesting to see what others thought of clean eating. For me it just means replacing processed and box foods with natural foods. I haven't gone organic yet but I can see doing that in the future to help eliminate the pesticides. I know there will be times that I will eat "junk food"…
  • I am doing it to help replace processed foods more than anything. But I understand what you are saying too. I know that even eating clean you still have to watch calories, that's why I was wondering if anyone else had heard the no calorie counting thing. I am still keeping track no matter what I am consuming.
  • I have been using Herbalife since January and have lost weight, but am now reading and learning about clean eating and learning how to enjoy real food again. Herbalife is a great way to get a jumpstart on your weight loss and nutrition but it's not for long term use, in my opinion. I know for me having to cook for a…
  • WTG! I love the idea of keeping 1 old big outfit around for those "fat" days. Keep up the great work.
  • Talenti Gelato is amazing stuff, a little spendy, but if you want something good and worth the calories then Talenti is the way to go.
  • I would say it depends on where you want to put your tattoos at. I have one on each arm and I think they will still look good once I lose some weight and tone up. I also have one on my upper back which I don't think will change too much.

  • I started to read Chris Powell. I think him and his wife Heidi are amazing people to follow. I also like watching his show Extreme Makeover weight loss edition because he takes his clients through a year long transformation and the reward is having their health back.
  • I haven't lost nearly what you have but I do wonder the same thing for when I reach my goal. I do have a girlfriend who lost a ton of weight and had the skin removal surgery done not just because of looks, but because it started to interfere with her daily life. It made exercising very uncomfortable. I would say talk to…
  • That is a very cool wall!
