I have been eating roasted almonds, sunflower seeds and peanut butter. I think I am eating less than before. I never go to bed full-- just satisfied. I hope it makes enough of a difference because I am never under my calorie goal. I either hit it or go over a hundred or two hundred cals.

I am just trying to lose 10 pounds! I am so proud of the people who lose 100 pounds but I think we have a different plight, because every meal counts when you are almost at your goal. I would love to have some friends on here to keep me encouraged! Add me :))

Ditch the cereal and toast in the morning! Have an omlette with veggies or oatmeal with nuts and berries... or even greek yogurt with fruit! These are more satisfying and will keep you going until lunch!!

I don't have a tv at all. So I've gone a long time without one. Once you start reading, talking to people, playing piano, getting a manicure, listening to music,.... You notice TV isn't that big of a deal. I think most tv shows are pretty boring. I have netflix on my computer and I've been watching that alot lately because…

I'm in the same boat too! It seems like tracking calories, exercising most days of the week and intentionally eating healthy has only caused my scale to inch its way in the wrong direction! I have even started seeing a personal trainer. I'm getting so discouraged. My scale just does not want to move and I have my sights…

I actually think there is more nutritional benefit to 1% (Organic!) Milk or Soy milk. protein, calcium, its all there. I think Almond milk is tasty but if you like regular milk, its GREAT for you! i personally cannot drink alot of milk, I prefer the taste of soy,

I know I need to be patient with it. But yes I am looking to lose 20 pounds! That would put me at my weight 2 years ago, before I started overeating and had surgery. Its SO hard. I always want to throw in the towel but I won't! If anyone has advice I'm all ears.

Lexi, Your story is so inspiring. I didn't want to post because I am not "big" but I do have a food addiction. Food has been a comfort to me (love) and my obsession with my looks (hate) have run my life. I run away from my horrid self image by eating to take my mind off of it--- to knock myself out of my own thoughts. I am…

Thanks Becky! I guess maybe MFP's estimate of your/my daily need isn't perfect. Maybe I'll try to change it to 1/2 lb a week and see how that goes. If anyone else has suggestions or answers, I'd love to hear. I'm trying to be positive/inquisitive in my journey. I have gained 20 pounds over the last two years because of an…

In California - I pay 34.99 a month for 24hour fitness. I can also visit most of their other gyms. $100 sign up. I also had a membership at a smaller rock climbing gym before $69 a month. It was obviously much pricier, but its was clean, the crowd wasn't too "meet-markety" and the best thing is there was ROCK CLIMBING!! in…

I feel like going to the gym is going to be out of guilt. i need time to rest and then hopefully hear some motivating words to get it happening tomorrow or monday! I know I have it in me but I can't tell if my body is saying "dieting is too hard/stop" or "stop torturing yourself at the gym" or if its just growing pains! I…

Watch out! It might be moldy inside due to preservatives! That stuff doesn't last long outside the freezer... So I say go for it but you may have to return it if its been out for a day or two.

Here is the article I was referring to: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/17/magazine/mag-17Sugar-t.html?pagewanted=all Its a GREAT read! Educate yourselves :)

I was also addicted to sugar! I read an article in the NYT called "Is sugar really toxic?" That is VERY thorough about the effect of sugar on the American diet. My weakness was starting the day off with something sweet! Sugar in my coffee--- yogurt or oatmeal with honey in it and sweetened granola. I switched to a protein…

This is one of my fitness goals--- To walk without my thighs rubbing. Its not a self-hating thing...just a NSV I am aspiring towards.

If I am bored at work and have hours ahead... I tend to take a "break" and snack. At night at home I tend to eat when I am bored. When someone offers me something, it feels rude and uncomfortable to say no! If someone chooses an unhealthy restaurant, I have a hard time just eating a salad,... I mean we only live once, why…

You can eat it mixed with your salad dressing, but my favorite way to eat it is in yogurt with berries! I really need to start eating flax again... luckily I found a bakery that makes bread with flaxseeds so I'm getting my little dose every day!
