I've found for me that cardio actually helps control my immune system some while strength training stimulates it to flair. I have to balance the two. I try to begin and end each workout with cardio and sandwich the strength in between, careful to not over do either. Oh yeah and I built up VERY slowly on both.

I have lost weight both on low calorie and Atkins. Now i'm back to Atkins for now. I find I steadily loose weight on Atkins at the rate of 1/2 a lb or more daily. I'm hesitant to try other milk sources yet. She's also epileptic and her food allergies tend to severely increase them when she's exposed to them. Her Dr. recommended avoiding other milk sources for a while until she's older.

Thank you! It's Cow milk allergy for her not lactose intolerance. Unfortunately it's her worst one too. Milk makes her throat itch and feel like it's tightening.

Thanks for the quick replies! :) I'll definitely try pea protein. Yogurt is dairy unfortunately and where we live there's no way to get dairy free unless I make it and add a dairy free protein powder unfortunately :/ lol.

I found this trick, it sounds weird, but it's a shoe-life saver! when you put on your socks, apply under arm deodorant to the bottom of your socks liberally.

I found quite the opposite to be true. About 14 years ago I did lose 30 pounds or so doing the Atkins diet, at the same time my son was born with some serious heart problems and we had to go through surgeries, etc.. . I own one and for me it seems to work. I wouldn't say it made me loose weight or get smaller in the waist like it tones you up, I just find when I use it regularly along with my regular abs routine I see a bigger increases in my endurance and ability compared to without.

popcorn sprinkled with splenda and cinnamon, yumm! Also try strawberries sprinkled with cinnamon, or chew some sugar free gum. Just learn to have sweets with a healthier twist. My fav is 1/2 a frozen bananna blended with almond milk, ice, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and splenda, it's similar to a milkshake.

Wow what a horrid sales woman! You can over come this. Use her nasty words every time you want to give up and cheat. The usual rule of thumb is if its neck and above its okay to exercize, below and you might want to not exercize. I find working out moderately with a cold actually speeds my healing because it boosts your immune system.

I love my food scale. I found I was way under estimating my meat! I was so worried about going over I wasn't getting enough protien. Which explaines some other things. Also, I found even though I was measuring my cereal, the real portion of cereal by weight was about 1/3 less then the 1 cup stated on the cereal box. oh…

I'd say exercize and a calorie deficit. You cannot spot loose fat. It comes off proportionally. So whatever you noticed comming on first, for me it was belly fat, will come off completely last. Heres some of my options: Wii fit rhythm boxing, wii fit strength training, Wii fit yoga, walking on a treadmill, stationary bike and exercize bands. I work out at home and there's no pool near by.
