  • My guess is that you are gaining muscle and losing fat. NOrmally when you start putting on muscle you gain some from the muscles being built and needing nutrients and water. Give it a couple of weeks.
  • Pack it with lots of protein. Eggs, low fat meats, like ham, turkey bacon, lf cheese and veggies. Stay away from pancakes, waffles and things like that since carbs get used up pretty quickly. Can you drink at your desk? If you can, get some on the go protein shakes and keep them in your desk and drink that if you get…
  • Do the "pump" in Zumba. just stand in one place and pump it. You know what I'm talking about. Also the hip circles are great for that as well. If you can handle it, do some merengue's and salas in a pool. It takes the weight off your foot.

  • Yeah, knee crunching isn't a good thing, but the best thing I have found when I am hurting in any part of my body is the water. Go for a swim. Low impact and very relaxing.
  • Shrimp with veggies in a brown sauce was always my go to. That or Beef with Broccoli. The fried rice will get ya, so try and stay away from that. The steamed dumplings aren't too bad. If you get rice, see if they have brown steamed rice. At least it's got fiber in it. And drink a LOT of water!
  • I was at 210 when I first started "running." I started out with C25K, and it really helped build up my endurance. I agree to get clearance from a doctor, and listen to your body. The elliptical is a great way to get your heart and lungs in shape for jogging or running as well. Good luck!
