I eat what I want, just cut back some on the sugars. Then I cardio my butt off, literally; walking, running, swimming, bike riding and weight lifting. Usually burn anywhere from 700 to 1500 calories a day.
-
My rewards are: Lower Cholesterol Lower Blood pressure No snoring Better night's sleep

Giving up something you love is just begging for you to go on a binge. Learn to keep it in your diet and tweek it to make it a little healthier. I lost all my weight while eating pasta, bread, fried food and even my beloved Samoas.

Tried Miracle Noodle. Blaaaah!
-
Love my carbs. I just count calories.

Run 7 miles, bike ride 30 miles, swim a mile. Training for triathlons. Also walk two miles every weekday at lunch.
-
2700 - 3000 or as many as I can eat. Burn so many calories exercising I have a hard time eating them back.
-
That too shall pass.

Doesn't matter where the calories come from. You have to live with your diet the rest of your life to keep the weight off. Give up something you love you will fall off the wagon. I love bread therefore it stays on my diet.
-
We've all done it. Climb back on the wagon like nothing happened.

6 foot and started at 245. Now down to 173 which is 20 lbs below my original goal. Do a lot of running, biking and swimming. Getting into Triathlons. Skinniest I've been since I got out of the Navy which was a long time ago.
-
That was one of the first things I really noticed. My belly button wasn't so deep.

I'm 6 foot and 174 and people think I am too thin. Right now I am about 8 - 10% body fat so trying to put a little back on. All depends on your build. Graduated high school at 110 lbs and probably a higher body fat then I am now. Put on a lot of muscle in college and military.
-
If a diet doesn't allow you to eat and drink the things you love it won't work. You'll get tired and quit so enjoy it, count it and move on.
-
Your looking great!

My body refuses to listen to the mental blocks. My brain will say 'okay that's enough, lets go home.' My body says 'I'm not done yet.' Brain says, 'But I am.' Body 'Lazy butt, ain't like you're actually doing anything.' Mind 'Hey I'm in charge' Body 'Not when we're running' Goes on and on. Very entertaining and makes for…

We have it so bad our clear glasses would turn a nasty white after running them through the dishwasher. Glass Magic cleared it all up.

As long as I am at or under I don't worry about it. I eat till I'm full and quit. Down 71 lbs doing it that way. No problems with starvation mode, plateauing or any of that stuff. One of the main reasons I exercise is so I can eat the foods I love.
-
Stays on all the time. Sweetheart, if you read this, I wear it because I love you and I want everybody to know it. Now quit reading while I tell the real reason. I dislocated that finger many years ago and it is hard to get off and on.

Katrionaleigh, Like nikrit said, there is no magic pill or 'easy' way to loose weight. Diet and exercise are the key. Find something you love to do and get out there and move. I lost mine running, my wife lost hers bicycling and a friend of ours lost over 100 lbs playing disc golf. My wife was a serious couch potato for…

The only limit I really worry about is total calories, doesn't matter where it comes from or in what form.
-
Calories are calories, just count them.

I log everything, good or bad, including the McAlister's Peanut Butter Cookie I had for lunch, except spices. i do try to add salt, though, which I do through the recipes I have entered.

Was on high cholesterol medicine and borderline high blood pressure. Now cholesterol is normal and blood pressure is 110/70. All just from loosing weight. Still eat my red meat, pasta, bread and use salt. We don't eat out as much because of all the calories in restaurant food but a side effect is I don't get as much sodium…

MFPs BMI calculator - 24.3% Health Central - 12.6% Livestrong - 16.1% Interesting.

It's all about the calories, carbs have nothing to do with it. I did the low carb thing once. I love Italian, Mexican and bread, and you have to pretty much give those up if you count carbs, so I couldn't sustain it long term. If I have to give up the things I love this 'lifestyle change' won't last.

Tabata. Look it up.

You look great. Also, nice group on the target.

Silver mesh part. On my wife's FT7 water works just fine.

I walk at lunch and exercise after work. When the weather gets better I plan on running in the mornings again.
