No worries. We have all misunderstood and have been mistaken. It's all good.

OK, so here is the verdict. The radishes definitely stew to a whitish color and they have a nice, soft, stewed consistency. They do lose their peppery kick. They do not have the consistency of a potato. Overall, they are good though! Enjoy!

No... lol Biochemistry my dear. CHO = Carbohydrate! Sigh. This is why this will be my last post. You don't know what you are talking about.
-
LMAO! Do you even know or read what you are posting? Do you know what this study is based on? Any idea what CHO is compared to 3CHO?

Anyone interested can go find the information easily. This post isn't about that as another poster mentioned. I personally take A&P classes and Clinical Nutrition classes as a nursing student and know what is taught in the medical community. Have a nice night sir. Oh and feel free to look up the difference between the…

I stand by my original post.

I too can link to database articles that no one can open. Nice try... Anyone with an education knows that you can find studies that test hypotheses and have a wide array of findings. It is once a theory has been proven that it becomes more. I can link you to study after study after study about weight loss, the health…

No, really! Please do your research! Agree with caloric deficit dictating weight loss BUT eating numerous meals throughout the day doesn't spike the blood sugar as much and your body doesn't try to conserve because it 'knows' it has food coming again soon! ALSO - it DOES matter where those calories come from. Ever heard of…

I completely disagree! The choices we make in weight loss are HUGE! You can eat 5 meals that are nutrient dense for the same amount of calories as 1-2 calorie dense meals!!! I know the foods that you probably enjoy. I have a lot of family from the Midwest that used to eat "southern" style food. In my findings, it was also…

YES! I do! lol I actually have gained 2 pounds back since doing 30DS. BUT!!!!!!!! I measured myself today just out of curiosity... I lost 2 inches in my waist, 1.75 in my hips and .5 in my thighs!!!:noway: Now THAT made me happy!!!!

See if there is a dietician in your area. They are far better than a nutritionist. Nutritionists only get a certificate, whereas dieticians have degrees. Good luck and good job!

I don't have that effect with Stevia products. I don't know what other natural sweeteners there are besides sugar. Splenda is even an artificial sweetener -> Sucralose.

One pound IS one pound, yes, BUT the quantity of fat in one pound is far greater than the quantity of muscle in one pound. In addition, I just gained close to two pounds in the last week and a half. I hate to disprove your theories, but it is definitely not hard to gain more than .5 pounds per week! This was while eating…

There are plenty of people that are doing 30DS AND C25K simultaneously with excellent results. I believe each person is different. I personally have never been a runner and tried to do both and am nursing an injury. As soon as it is good, I plan on adding C25K back into the mix. For now, 30DS, brisk walking and I play…

I have been eating much better again since joining MFP and I have been working out. I lost a few pounds the first few days, but then I gained 2 of them back! For me, I think maybe what I originally lost was water weight due to the reduction in sodium while eating healthier. I am hoping that the couple of pounds I grabbed…

I am a total scale junkie and am trying to break myself of the habit. It isn't going so well! lol I tend to want to weigh myself every morning and every night. That being said... I do my weigh ins for MFP first thing in the morning on Sundays.

Both Splenda and Agave are heavily processed... Stevia is a sweet leaf.
-
I use a liquid Stevia by Wonder Naturals Sweetleaf that is flavored with vanilla creme in my coffee. It says to use 5-8 drops, but I only use 3-4. IT ROCKS! I did find if I used 6 drops it had an aftertaste. I don't taste that with 4 drops and it is still wonderfully sweet! They have all kinds of other flavors too. Vanilla…

BUMP! My stew is stewing! Radishes and all!

I too need heavier weights. I have been using 3 lb weights, but am going to buy 5 lb weights this week. I might still use the 3 lb weights on the anterior hand raises with side lunges if the 5's are too much at first. I am not bored. I envy you! I am still struggling with pushups and sometimes in the cardio. Each day is…

*BUMP* Thanks for sharing! I LOVE butternut squash and gruyere, but haven't had them together. Sounds delish!

Excellent advice that I wish I thought about or knew prior to trying. I picked up tennis lessons and started 30 Day Shred at the same time as C25K and overloaded myself. I ended up with an injury. While some people can do it, I don't think I was ready for that much. C25K is AWESOME and I look forward to picking it back up…

Today I will be on L1D7. I am taking 1-2 days off per week based on the advice of a physician. In addition to 30DS, I was also attempting to complete C25K and have started playing tennis regularly. In W2 I injured myself. I believe my soleus, sigh. So, for now I am taking it easy on the C25K and doing 45 minutes of walking…

I was having a hard time hitting my calories, especially on days that I worked out. I spoke with my clinical nutrition professor about it. I personally added in a sweet potato or other carb with my dinner and added other things like avocado and peanut butter. I also picked up KIND Bars which are absolutely delicious! They…

I went to www.skinnytaste.com and cannot wait to make some of the recipes!!! She has all kinds of skinny pumpkin recipes too, but the blog is full of skinny recipes that just sound and look amazingly delicious. Pretty excited about it!!

*BUMP* I love pumpkin! I wait all year for this! lol

I don't know how it would work in a mashed, but what I read was a replacement in stew. They didn't mention anything about using them other than in the stew as a replacement. Also, I read that using turnips and parsnips in a slow cooker for stew makes them really mushy, translucent, and that they aren't as good.…

I will try it and post my findings tonight!

Agree and SO true! Look for an R.D. or D.T.R., not a C.N.C.!
