Thanks for the responses! I won't consider myself a failure if I don't make the 20 pound goal by NYE. I'm shooting for 20 but would be grateful for any weight loss at this point. I am setting a lofty goal as a kick in the butt to get started! Also, my profile picture is from about 3 years ago BEFORE I gained 30 pounds.…

We can do this! Let's keep motivating one another!!!

First hurdle - trick or treat night. One of my favorite nights for firepit, smores and adult beverages. It's like a giant block party. Need to refrain from candy and beer...

I'm determined to try!! I eat crap and don't exercise at all right now so I'm hoping that I can shock my body with good food and cardio plus weights!!

Hey, I'm late to the party but would love to join the support of you ladies! I'm 5"5" and 162lbs and am trying to figure out how the heck I have gained 30 pounds in 2 years! Would LOVE to get back to my old weight of 130...

A pull up bar would be awesome but I don't think I can hang one from the drop ceiling... Once I am strong enough to curl the bicycle (while riding) I will post a picture to prove just how beneficial strength…

Thanks for your kind response jesz  I understand that there are some hardcore weight trainers out there and I respect that, too. I personally enjoy mixing up my workouts (so I don't get bored) and they say the best exercise is the one in which you enjoy and will stick with in the long run. With that said, I realize…

To clarify - I already do spin classes, weight train and take boot camp classes in which I lift heavy weights. Sometimes I am time crunched and just want to do a quick workout in my basement using my spin bike. I am looking to add some strength training since I enjoy that type of exercise. I never said anything about 3…

I would like to gain muscle but I instantly put on weight when I go above 1800 calories for more than a day or two. I am impressed that you can lose weight at 1800-2300 calories. What is your calorie intake on non-lifting days?

That's awesome! So did your actual weight change at all when losing that body fat? Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your response! What is Scooby?

Unless you are doing hard core workouts, I am not sure that you need rest days. Like most people on here already said, take a walk or do something like stretching/yoga if your body needs a break. I LOVE walks when I can't get a regular workout in, especially at the end of a long work day. Good luck and know that there are…
