I have to say I sleep a ton. Sometimes I do a bit of yoga to unwind, in bed by 9, read, asleep by 10 or 11pm to wake up around 8am. I can say sleep definitely makes a difference.

This probably isn't the most helpful response but carbs aren't your worst enemy. I eat a ton of pasta and bread and I'm losing weight just fine. It's just about moderation. edit: Yeah, what she said above me :)

I think a lot of what people have said is correct: tracking your calories definitely is what helps you to lose weight. Without doing so, some people fail. If I go over my calories by 100-200 one day a week I don't sweat it. It's usually friday or saturday night when I squeeze in an extra drink or so. However, I do make sure I exercise on those days.

Ha! I'm not worried about a thing on thanksgiving. The worst thing that could possibly happen is you gain a pound. I think a day of not worrying is worth it but I don't see a problem with me losing focus once the holiday is over.

Just make sure you eat at least 30 minutes before you to go bed so your body isn't up late processing. I would definitely eat something though or you could end up like me and wake up at like 3am totally starved!!!
