My pms used to be the worst. Since eating better I find that I really don't crave those things anymore. If I do it's some chips or something, I'm still in my calorie limit. So it's not really problematic.

You can do it!!!!! I lost some weight and then gained it ALL back, PLUS some! I started over and lost 25 pounds - and I weigh way less than I have in years. Friend me and we will keep each other motivated! xo

Lately I'm on a celery with a little peanut butter kick - or celery and hummus. Yum!

I agree with this. If I have a super, super hard yoga workout where all my muscles in my body are screaming, I will take a break, possibly go for a walk. Maybe take it easy. What happens is that to deal with stress and to feel good, working out no longer becomes a chore, but a desire. Enjoy!

I drink both soda and alcohol. So ha!

My suggestion is - don't. I am 5'5, started at 183 pound @ 1200 calories a day. I was absolutely ravenous. I'd be okay for a week and then I would go nuts and have a total binge. I have found it way more enjoyable losing 1 pound a week and learning this new lifestyle. I drink wine, eat chocolate and pasta. Since then, I've…

I've been doing yoga for over 6 years. I started doing it last year almost every single day and I have noticed huge changes in my body. I'm way more toned. My back feels great. I can hold my arms up in the air for several minutes straight, right through the burn. I've lost 25 pounds. Yoga for me typically works my upper…

Especially for yoga, when you are balancing on your navel and what not. If you are ravenous though, eat a piece of fruit.

For those who can't do soda in serious moderation, they should give it up. I might drink a little soda 1-2 days a week and I don't have any weird cravings for it and it doesn't affect me noticeably with the exception of: 1) I tend not to want to drink water after 2) I'm more awake (caffeine) It definitely mixes things up…

Yay, Marnie!!!! I totally get you, girl!! Congrats.

Like all these people said, it really IS hard to change your habits. However, the motivation has to be within you. I have noticed that it has to be more than "I want to be skinny." For me, it was being healthy enough to have a baby. For others it's staying alive for their kids because their blood pressure is through the…

Find foods that keep you fuller longer are key. If I'm really hungry I will get something to eat and go a little over if needed. It gets easier and I rarely feel super hungry. Beans, peanut butter, avocado are some foods that keep me satisfied.

I was in the grocery store one time and this guy smelled so bad you could smell him from 5 aisles away. It was absolutely wretched. He didn't seem to have any shame - but them I remembered some people actually have a condition that causes them to smell horrible no matter how many showers or deodorant they use. You never…

Go for it.

Only people who get on my nerves are people who say they are vegan/vegetarian who sometimes eat fish and chicken. This is my place to be honest about myself and I just cant tolerate that kind of bull. Though I probably wont delete over it :)

Stella is amazing and still a pretty low calorie beer. (Quality over Quantity!) Haha.

I'm not a soda hater, but I've noticed if I drink soda at any point during the day, something about it makes me not WANT to drink any water. But if I drink water starting when I wake up, i just feel so amazing that I end up drinking 8 cups before 5pm.

augh. I'm in the same boat!!

Not if you consider fish to be animals - which they are. But we could debate about that all day. I just don't get the label if you clearly aren't something - why call yourself it? It just makes it way more confusing for the rest of us who are strict to our diet.

Try Miso soup. Loaded with nutrients (and sodium - be careful where you get it) but should be incredibly healthy and go down okay.

IMO, calories are calories. I've lost almost 25 pounds in just a few months. I eat what I want and drink what I want. I exercise almost every day, and sometimes, when I'm feeling crazy, I have 2-3 glasses of wine. This is a lifestyle change and you have to incorporate what you love or this won't stick. But keep in mind,…

Sounds kind of terrifying. mmmm... peanut butter powder.

Yeah - I made my DH chipped "beef" - something his grandma makes and I think it finally won him over. I still think fake bacon tastes like overly salty dog food, but I really dig the texture.

LOL!. Sorry I just find this really funny. I'm a vegetarian and I don't wear real leather. A VEGAN wouldn't be caught wearing leather, nor would they eat fish. Now, if you said you were nearly Vegan but you had milk every now and again, it wouldn't so Lol'able.

Good morning!! I'm so excited to reply to this, because I feel like our journey is kind of the same. (Except I don't have any kids yet!!) I saw way too many horrific videos where animals were skinned alive and I just couldn't carry that burden anymore. My husband pretty much thought I was insane I was going vegetarian, but…

so inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing and congratulations!

Doesnt' really burn that many calories unless you're in like a 1 hour vigorous session.
-
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! So inspiring.

I don't call that cheating at all. I just call it eating healthier and going a LITTLE over your calorie goal. You're still losing weight because you're at a deficit, but I see the psychology you're doing there :)

roughly 150 calories per 6 ounces - but it depends on the wine. Red tends to be a bit higher than white.
