I am making life style changes which I aim to keep for a lifetime. I need to get healthy for my husband and children. If I don't do it now, I never will. I have had a lifetime of excuses, now they are not important. If I can lose 24 lbs (38 lbs from highest weight) I CAN lose the rest, it will just take the next few…

I aspire to stay under 49 minutes for a 5K run (3.12 miles). That is what I love about running, we are really competing with ourselves not the other runners ;)

I have mine set to 1lb but I don't mind if I am 500 calories under on some days as I know I could of chosen a 2lb loss. I lose between 0.8 and 3.5 lbs a week average around 2lbs

Congratulations :) Being overweight is my long term goal !

Thanks for the advice, I think we'll go and watch one and find out the speed of the slowest runner, before I have a go :)

How wonderful :)

Thanks for the lovely supportive messages, MFP really rocks :) Love this. ;)

Thanks for the link, I need some running music

If I was perfect at food choices and exercise levels I wouldn't be fat, would I ? I am here is order to *learn* how to do these things, This is my first 'celebration event, going out to eat and holiday with husband' rolled into one, since I joined MFP. I did very well keeping up with my exercises. I made good choices with…

Amazon, Argoes, Gumtree and be prepared to buy a few. Go it :) What would you guys recommend weight size wise for me and my husband to start P90 or is it a personal thing ?

I'm going to log and exercise as normal but expect to be over calories on Christmas day and certain other days I'm home with chocolate ;)

Mmm, I have to try these.

Ace, that will totally fit in with finishing C25K. :)

Hurrah, I forgot about this. :) Not that any one week matters too much, I intend this to be a change for life. But it is nice to know there is a built in pillow :)
-
Will focus on weekly intake :) Definitely keep up the exercise, if I could maintain this week I would feel I did well. Thanks :)

All I can say is WOW. :)

Hi, I have just finished Week Seven. I run on a treadmill at the moment but hope to do some outside running soon. I have run 5K twice on the treadmill but I am very slow (49 minutes with lots of walking) but hope to get faster. LOL, I couldn't get much slower really. But I am going faster than everyone sat on their sofa's…

I found our local Park Run in Bolton but I daren't go until my running improves. My 5K time is 49 minutes and that is far too slow. Wonder how fast I should be going before I try ? Any ideas ?

I'm a SAHM to three children 5 yo, 3 yo and 1 yo :)

I was feeling the same way as you this morning, just an 0.8 lb loss rather than the 3 lbs per week I was expecting. So I measured myself and that showed a monthly loss of several inches which cheered me up and I had a nice NSV when I had a shower, that my thighs were less flabby than before. Keep plugging away and we WILL…

Mmm, I gonna try baked sweet potato

Kellymom is a great resource for nursing mums, which has backed up with research on all elements of breastfeeding. Here is a link to Dieting whilst breastfeeding page....enjoy http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mom/mom-weightloss.html I add 200 calories to my daily allowance for nursing a day, as I tandem nurse my 1 yo and 3 yo…

No idea on the stiff leg thing, I would check with your doctor. That said it could be a one off bad run. Some runs I can't get moving for whatever reason and the next run I am fine. I am a very slow beginner and only just got to 25 minutes runs after seven weeks of trying to run, so you are doing so well and must be very…

Well done and I love your 'during' photo...very pretty :)

I love this running program, I'm up to Week Six Run Three run today, 5 minute warmup and a 25 minute run ! Not sure if I'll do the 25 minutes as the 20 minute one last week nearly killed me. But the next three weeks runs are all >25 mins, so I will get use to it soon (I hope)

I've only recently started trying to be more healthy, but I reckon if you really want something and it will fit in with your calories and it is only occasionally, it can't hurt can it ? I really wanted to have a chippy tea to night, so I did an hour of running to make sure I had enough calories and I savoured every…

Wow, good running. It took me an hour to run 3.5 miles yesterday, so you are running at double my speed. :)
-
Thanks :) It is just an excel chart, I update weekly and upload as a jpg to use as a signature. Very basic and manual but does the job.

Wow, I just wanted to say I love your positive attitude and how you are looking for what you CAN do, rather than worrying about things you can't,. especially with having a young baby and little sleep. You are going to do so well on here :)
