You have three weeks and not that much weight to lose overall. I would aim to lose a 1lb a week before your holiday and not worry about the rest. This link has loads of good advice http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/974889-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet Enjoy your holiday and come back to MFP and continue to…

Love it...off to make some right now.....not :)

I'm in chilly cold England and therefore don't carry water (yet) Today I did 2 hour 40 minute run covering 11 miles without any water. I do make sure I drink plenty the rest of the time when I am at home. That said, if we ever start to get nice weather I might have to have a rethink.

Marking to try later :)

I want to be around for our four lovely children, as they grow up and get married and start their own families and I want to be active enough to live to a ripe old age whilst hugging my lovely husband. :)
-
Thanks for that, sounds reasonable. I'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks.
-
Yippee, thanks so much :) I really missed my Fitbit calories.
-
Linked to walking, what about a Fitbit One ? It's default step target is 10,000 but this can easily be altered to a more realistic target like 100 steps a day and increase weekly in line with whatever your mother's doctor recommends. It is very motivating, seeing how much you have moved.
-
Yes, another vote for Fitfit. I can only hit 10,000 steps in a day I exercise but my non exercise days are getting higher scores now I am thinking about moving more :)
-
Marking my place to read again tomorrow. I have just done first workout A and first workout B over the last three days. Pretty sure I am not lifting anywhere near you ladies, maybe one day :)
-
It does take a while to log food for the first week or so, but once you get going it takes minutes a day.
-
Good on you. I do wall push ups and working towards proper push ups, one day :)
-
Yes, the Kinnect cameras watch your body and in particular your joints and 'sees' when you are moving and if you are doing the 'right' movement. The 'My Shape' game is very clever and gives you verbal feedback, speed up, keep your back straight, squat lower and if you don't do it right, you don't get green lights, grrr.…

I love our x-box 360 with Kinnect and in particular Zumba Rush. It is so fun, I use a HRM to track calories burnt and the Kinnect camera ensures you don't skimp on the exercising.

I love this app so much. I have restarted the missions from the beginning. I really hope they are making a sequel with a further story. PS. I have the paid Android version and it is ace.
-
I log the following exercises.... Playing Dance on X Box Kinnect Playing My Shape on X Box Kinnect Playing Zumba on X Box Kinnect .....which I created on my exercise list. I had the number of minutes and adjust calorie count if I need too. I usually wear a HRM to check the calories as well.

I'm waiting for my email, plus another two weeks and I'll have my very own Fitbit ! I can't wait :)
-
I need to do this too. My UK size 24 PJ's are falling down and I am now a UK size 16 moving to 14 atm.
-
I believe in small goals too. I never have more than 10 lbs to lose according to my ticker bar. When that goal is achieved I lower my goal by another 10 lbs. In fact at the moment I have only 5lbs to lose to my next target (to be overweight, I can't wait), even though I still have 35 lbs to lose total, that is too much too…

There is no reason to reduce cardio whilst breastfeeding, just make sure you ate wearing a good supportive sports bra.
-
I add 'Nursing' as a food to my breakfast that gives me an additional 500 calories per day, as I am exclusively breastfeeding by 4 month old baby and nursing her toddler sister a couple times a day too. That said my weight loss has dropped from 1.5 lbs a week on average to 1 lb so I'm thinking of dropping it too 300…

Well I am here a week later and a pound lighter yet my body fat remains at it's new lower level. Looks like my body fat is settling down at this lower level for the time being and I'm not complaining it makes me smile to see the 20's % IYSWIM

This is a brilliant NSV. I don't regard myself as reaching a lower size until I can fit properly into that size standard jean. I can't wait to reach my next NSV jeans (UK size 14, currently can fit in and zip up but far too much muffin top going on before they are fitting properly)

Thanks ckish :)
-
Thanks, I have a long way to go either way but what does another few months or years matter, I'll get there one day and I am heading in the right direction :)
-
Thank you, I see. Yes, that is right. BMI wise I need to be 145lbs to be healthy, yet 22% body fat would also be healthy and I (in theory) can get to that by dropping to 169 lbs if I keep my current level of lean body weight. Big difference, I will have to keep plodding along and see what I feel like at 169 lbs I guess :)
-
Oh right, I didn't know that. According to my body fat scales I am currently 185 lbs with approx 52 lbs of fat and 133 lbs of lean weight and wondered if that is reasonable ratio or not.
-
I started at very tight 24 should of been a 26 really. Over the last year I have had a baby (currently four months old) and dropped to a loose 16 ...working towards 14's. All UK sizes.
