  • Yes, I weigh myself every morning and sometimes at night to see if there will be a loss in the morning. I'm going on a week long vacation in July and will miss my scale.
  • Just keep moving. Remember how bad falling off made you feel and use that to avoid falling off again. Challenge yourself to stay on for longer periods of time. The fact that you are here and trying is huge. You will do this and get to your goals.
  • If you look at my food diary prior to Friday, May 18th you will see that most of the time I do not eat processed food. I have worked very hard to make those an every once in awhile thing.
  • I'm sending you a friend request. I agree that losing more than 50 pounds can be frustrating because it can take just so darn long. It is nice to have a constant support and people to just tell you to keep going.
  • Thank you for the encouragement everyone! I'm not quitting this journey because really if I quit then I will be seeing a lot higher numbers. Normally I'm very upbeat and optimistic and can deal with the weight fluctuations. Just got a little frustrated today. Once again, thank you for the encouragement ladies! Slow and…
  • Good information for later. Don't forget about http://www.BodyRock.tv/
  • Awww I love this story. Made me tear up a bit. Hope you have many more family bike rides.
  • I think about the consequences of quitting. I may be kicking and screaming while I go for my walk but I know the consequence of not going for that walk just means that a few months from now I will be trying to start over all over again. Flip around the thought of "What is the point in continuing with this?" With "What is…
  • I was struggling with the weekends too until I challenged myself to track everything for 50 days. Now I know I have to track what I eat so I plan ahead. Not having the phone app makes things difficult, but maybe if you brought a notebook with you, or had the ability to take notes in your phone. Even if you don't know the…

  • I'm finding that I love HIIT and want to learn more and more about the benefits and how to make it work. Keep the information coming.
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. I like to encourage other people and see their progress. Plus I like the encouragement myself. I'll only give advice if it is asked and generally I will only say that it has worked for me. But everyone has to figure out how to make it work for them or it won't stick.
  • I think this is a new favorite quote and way of thought. Thank you for making a snarky comment that makes complete sense.
  • I remember when I first started losing weight in college a "friend" told me some people just aren't meant to be skinny. That was huge motivation to lose 60 pounds.
  • I think it is only worth the cost if you need that extra incentive to stay on track. I have found the MFP has everything WW has and more. Especially since I started fully utilizing the community on MFP.
  • Saving this for later. Hubby and I love Chinese food.
  • Welcome to MFP! I did WW online a few years ago and lost weight, but it is pretty expensive. When I needed to lose weight (again) I started playing with MFP and find that I like it better. It is easier to find out calories than it is points and the community support is available if you ask for it. Plus the amount of food…
  • Thank you for the inspiration! I have very similar goals to you and it is great to see an example of eating more to lose weight actually working. Thank you and Congratulations!
  • I have started loving hard boiled eggs. 78 calories and you get your protein and they are filling. I have also done Morningstar Veggie Burgers with a slice of Kraft cheese on the top and veggies. A handful of almonds also goes a long way. You could also throw a can of tuna on top of a bed of lettuce and tomatoes with a…

  • I love running outside during my lunch hour. What keeps me going and pacing myself is my interval timer. I have my timer set for a specific amount of time, right now it is at 6.5 minutes. I make myself keep going until that timer beeps at me. Then I walk until it beeps at me again. Since you know how long you can run for…
  • Thank you for posting this question. I didn't even think of freezing my own fruit! Definitely saving this idea as smoothies have been my breakfast every morning.
  • Sounds like a really healthy alternative. Saving this.
  • Hmmm... Funny, I haven't thought of the final goal reward yet. I try to bribe myself with a reward every time I get under a specific weight. Under 200 was an iPhone, under 195 is supposed to be a pedicure which I haven't gotten yet. Under 190 may be some yarn or a book or whatever I want at the time. I think I want to take…
  • Congratulations on being cancer free for 4 years!!! The weight loss is amazing too but as a cancer survivor I know the feeling of being cancer free year after year. I'm 10 years off treatment on June 28th this year. The time starts flying by after this. Congratulations on everything!
  • I try to focus on eating around what my BMR is, regardless of how many calories I burn. I'm finding that I lose weight when I do this and have been doing so consistently. I ignore the Net and just make sure my total calories eaten is around my daily goal.
  • Sounds like what I did to myself in junior high and lost a bunch of weight. I ate a lot of rice and pasta that summer. Good luck with it and hope it works for you.
  • I think you deserve a huge pat on the back for eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle! You deserve a reward for how long you have been doing that. Maybe a pedicure for your running feet?
  • I weigh myself every day, and for awhile it was driving me nuts if the scale went up or stayed the same. Then I started actually tracking my weight every day using an app. I can now look back and see if I have lost weight from a week ago that day. So I may be up today from yesterday, but I am lower than what I weighed a…
  • Home made almond butter. Yum! Need to make some more.
