IIFYM is generally more concerned with body recomposition or athletic performance. You can fine tune your macronutrients to your goals. If your goal is simply to see the number on the scale go down, a calorie is just a calorie.

You should be eating over your BMR and under your TDEE, anyway. The only time I eat 1200 cals is when I'm sick in bed :/

No, it is not okay. Eat 1200. Eat exercise calories (or a percentage of them at least). That's how MFP is designed. If you cut down to 800 then stop losing weight, are you going to cut down to 600? Then 400? Then 200? Cutting calories that severely is not maintainable or healthy.…

Most people store fat around their middle, I've lost 70lbs and I still have fat around my tummy. It will go down. Measure it now and measure it in a month, you'll see the number go down.

Get a HRM and log the calories burned. It's still only an estimation based on your heart-rate, weight and height, but it's better than nothing.

This is exactly why. Plus per gramme of protein it works out a lot CHEAPER than buying a ****ton of meat that I don't have room for in my freezer. Fish and nuts don't taste like french vanilla. Fish and nuts can't be cooked into a pancake or delicious baked treats. Or at least they shouldn't be. Groce.

I *like* them and nutritionally they're great, but they're REALLY good baked. Cut into 4 pieces, roll into cookie shape, bake in oven. They go all soft and cakey and delicious.
