Just found out last night I'm pregnant and 4 weeks along with my 2nd child. I lost 50 lbs over the past year and am actually 40 lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant with my first. I'm really excited to be starting this pregnancy from a healthy place, but I also really want to stay that way. I work full time at a desk…

I think her 30 Day Shred workouts are good. They combine strength with cardio and abs. I've gained some great toning and muscle definition just from doing them.

Rold Gold Honey Wheat Pretzel Twists for my 10am snack and YORK Peppermint pieces for my afternoon snack. I know that sounds bad but 25 pieces is only 85 cals, it's great for a little sugar rush to help me through to end of day.

When I started the 30 DS I did my own version of the jumping jacks. Mostly because I was 50 lbs overweight and have 1 bad knee so I didn't want to push it. And I did it even though Jillian says there's no modification for a jumping jack and I don't care that 400 lb people can do them I wasn't gonna risk hurting myself.…

I have one daughter who just turned 2 on Jan 4th. I weighed 190 when I got pregnant with her, gained 42 lbs, dropped down to about 193 9 months postpartum, but then couldn't figure out how to lose more and climbed up to 197 last May. Then I started eating differently, found the 30 DS and this website and now I'm down to…

I'm not just starting, I've actually been using this video for many months now and love it. Level 2 is my favorite and level 3 is fun if you like to jump! I'm posting just to give you all some encouragement and tell ya to stick with it. I've lost over 30 lbs doing this video and gone down 2.5 jean sizes. I say half because…

I started it last May at 197 lbs, under my doctor's supervision. At first I could feel the effects quite strongly, not the side effects, but the good stuff. I had more energy and was able to begin changing my eating habits. I lost 10 lbs in 2 months, but I was still struggling in finding a way to work out on a regular…

I've been doing 30 DS only since mid-July and lost 20 lbs in 3 months. For that stretch I was doing it 4-5 times a week. Due to a death in the family and the holidays I wasn't able to keep that pace in December, but I still managed not to gain anything and total since I started 30DS I've lost 30 lbs. Plus I've gone from a…

I also love Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred video. I got it for $9 at Walmart plus the cost of weights. I started it in July and have been doing it at least 4 times a week ever since. I have a very tight schedule with working full time and being the parent of a toddler, so getting up in the morning and doing a 25 minute…

I also started taking phentermine this past year and have lost 41 lbs. It is very helpful in the beginning, enough so that I was able to change my eating habits. I don't feel the effects of the drug as much now, but since I've been eating better for over half a year now it has made it a lot easier to stick with the plan.…

I've actually been doing the 30 DS since July. I work full time and have a toddler so finding the time and right workout was very tough. I started doing the 30 DS in the mornings before I shower 4-5 times a week. In the first 30 days I lost 7 pounds and my clothes started feeling looser. After 60 Days I had lost15 lbs and…

I started phentermine back in May on the smallest dosage, I felt a difference in my appetite almost immediately. They really assisted me in being able to change my diet by eating smaller portions and less snacks. I lost about 10 lbs in the first 2 months and then when I added regular exercise into the picture I started…

I agree that you can't spot reduce, however I've been doing the 30 Day Shred video and one of the first areas I noticed a reduction was my back and waist. My tops started to feel looser and so did my jeans. As a previous poster said above, the video has some great strength moves for your back. That and the overall…

I am absolutely no expert, just someone losing weight who drinks diet soda. I probably have 1-2 diet soda drinks a day and they haven't seemed to effect my weight loss at all. I've been losing consistently for over 5 months now. However I still drink at least 8 cups of water a day and follow my MFP calorie guidelines…

LOL, at first I thought this was going to be another Jillian Michaels is the devil threads, which I do not agree with, but you made some excellent points and obviously know what you're talking about. I've been doing the 30 DS regularly for awhile now and have had great success. So much as to that friends and co-workers…

I've been doing 30DS differently than then the norm. I basically started it in July at 187 lbs and spent 2 months doing level 1 4-5 times a week. Then at 177 lbs, I moved up to level 2 and have been doing it 5 times a week. It's the only exercise I do, besides chasing a toddler around, and I've lost 24 lbs so far and gone…

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at age 10. I was always a small child, but my doctors just kept saying I was just a late bloomer. Then when we moved to a different state my new doctor called for some blood work to be done and found out my thyroid levels were way low. I was a 10 year old with the bone structure of a 6…

I also use the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD and have lost 23 lbs and gone down 2 jean sizes. Yes it's only 25 minutes a day, but if you're doing it at least 4-5 times a week you are going to see awesome results. Plus the fact it's only 25 minutes makes it much easier to motivate yourself to do it that often.

I've been doing it since July. Moved from L1 to L2 in September and am about to move to L3. Although I haven't tried on any new dresses since then I have dropped 2 jean sizes! 30 DS is awesome and has worked great for me, you just have to stick with it and be consistent. My doctor even commented last week that she could…

I've been doing it since July and have seen amazing results. I've been going at my own pace starting with the modified moves and then doing the advanced. After I felt level 1 start to get "easy" (I put that in quotes because it's never easy, just wasn't challenging anymore) I moved up to level 2. Been doing level 2 for…

LOL at blasphemy, I actually thought that after I hit post. My family lived in CA during Montana's reign and we were huge 49er fans. Than after we moved to Denver and Montana retired we became Bronco fans and got to experience his 2 Superbowl wins. I agree that the idea of Tebow being discussed in the same conversations as…
-
I am definitely a Tebow fan! I think he is an incredible person who is capable of doing incredible things, on and off the field. I really didn't know much about him when he was a Gator. Living in Arizona our schools never played him. The only time I think I ever saw him in college was the 2008 championship game, but I wish…

I don't yell profanities at her, but when I was doing the cardio punches in level one I'd be aiming right for her on the TV screen pretending I was punching her. It was great motivation!

If I were you I'd look into one of those smaller gyms that focus on personal trainers. We have one here called Precision Personal Training. I'm sure you have some wherever you live. I say this only because I had a personal trainer at one of the larger gyms and it didn't feel personal at all. It felt like for 30 mins he…

I can completely understand the lack of time to get to the gym regularly. I have a toddler and work full time. After a full day of work finding the motivation to go to the gym for an hour on a regular basis was impossible for me. I bought this DVD and tried to do it at home after work. I still found it very hard to do…

I don't have pictures but since I started working out regularly with the 30 day shred I've lost 20 lbs and dropped 2 jean sizes. Plus I feel a ton better. Really wish I had taken some before pictures so I could compare.

I get up at 5:15 in the morning and do 30 DS. It's the only time that works for me to be able to do it regularly. I am not a morning person, but somehow this works for me and I feel good throughout the day knowing it's accomplished.
-
Thanks for sharing, this is actually one of my favorite quotes from her as well. I never thought I could get up at 5:15 in the morning 5 times a week to do a workout video, but I have now for months and really enjoy it. I've found that I can push myself harder than ever before and I can lose more weight than I ever have…

Completely Agree!! My first time doing level 2 I had to do it at half speed just so I could learn all the moves. I then started alternating between L1 and L2 until I could do L2 at regular speed (3rd time through I was there). I'm now on day10 of L2 and I'm still doing most of Anita's modifications, but I'm seeing great…
