I'm so sorry to hear about your SO. You just have to remind yourself that eating won't take away your emotional pain. It may numb it for a while but in the long run you're only hurting yourself. Praying for you!

I just have to resurrect this old thread because I've had it bookmarked since I started this journey in January 2013. It served as a great source of inspiration for me, I read it time and time again! Now I can finally join in... i'm not done yet but I finally got below 200 (197.4 this morning) so wanted to post. :)

In answer to the fibro question, I don't eat processed foods except as the occasional treat. Thanks! My main thing I'm struggling with is roast vegetables - these are a staple part of our diet, and I love them, I used to shake them in a little bit of oil and they were perfect. Now I'm trying veggie broth like suggested by Engine2 and they just didn't taste good. :/ Any suggestions?

I was vegetarian for a couple of years as a teen, because of ethics. Therefore I really enjoyed 'fake meat' as I felt I wasn't missing out so much if I could still have sausage and eggs, or 'chicken' fillets etc!
