Has anyone ever read rational recovery.. the author wrote Brain over Binge with Rational Recovery in mind.

I strongly recommended talking with a health professional. I understand your pain, binging can feel very scary. You are not alone in your struggle. I struggle with it as well. And it's best to seek professional support, people on here can encourage you. However binging/eating disorders are very serious and require a…

Your not alone I understand and also experience the shame, sadness and guilt fro m binging. It's frustrating and it makes you feel crazy. Your not crazy and I believe you'll get through this. Feel free to add meas a friend. You don't have to walk alone. No judgment here.

BE is so complex and has so many layers. I've been really struggling the last few days. And I try to not restrict myself from certain foods and stuff, I don't know. I am going through a lot of things currently. But then again, who isn't right? I struggle with depression, isolation and anxiety, and I do well for a few days…

I am very sorry for your losses Laura. I hope you continue to hang in there. And I'd love to be apart of anyone's journey, because isn't it so much easier when we have friends to lean on for support. I know for me, it seems like that would help me. Prehaps break the isolation and shame that I feel daily with struggling…

I lost about 200 pounds and I maintained it for about 4 months. And them some relationship problems really caught me off guard. And then I started binging uncontrollably to deal with all the emotional pain. It was seriously out of control. I was hospitalized for a month for it. It didn't deal with my particular disorder.…

Hi everyone, I am also really struggling with this problem. I just got out of a eating disorder treatment center, but it did not help me very much at all. I am however working with a private therapist. But I don't have a lot of outside support besides that. I've been on myfitnesspal on and off for some time now but I lack…

What they said is true. I had put on 13 pounds in 3 days recently but it has slowly gradually came off. Our bodies hold many mysterious secrets. Generally when you gained a lot overnight and you know you've stayed within your normal eating range it's usually water or you know.

You have gotten a lot of great advice, which I agree with. I've lost 200+ pounds and I agree the slower you go the less skin you'll have but bottom line it depends on your body. And from what I hear if you just give it time and I mean at least a year or more your skin will retract some, and then make your decision. I am 25…

I have the JMBR although I didn't follow it to the letter. I spent like all summer on phase 2, and I just did the cardio 3 the other day and it kicked my butt! But I've been thinking about completely starting from the beginning again, and doing it as suggested. I didn't take pictures in the beginning nor measurements but I…

If your not hungry I wouldn't eat. Although for the feature I was told by many trainers, to eat about half of what you burned in calories back and make sure that half of that is protein. So if on any given day you burned 500 calories if your hungry eat about 250 calories but within that 250 calories there should be a good…

It's all what you are comfortable. Daily weights can be rather frustrating for some because of the flucations, but if you can handle that, I say go for it. I weigh myself daily, because I find that it keeps me accountable and also desensitizes me to the scale.

Thanks everyone that was really encouraging!!!! I am hanging in there!!

I am looking to maintain, and definitely could use some friends and encouragement.

I, too, struggle sometimes with the fear of food. I think I eat an overall balance diet. I do plan my meals in advance and log on the computer or in my notebook what I eat everyday. And I exercise on average 6x a week. I am at a healthy weight, and I actually can eat a little more according to my nutritionist and still…

My stress today was that I was off from work. Which shouldn't be a stressor, but it is for me since I don't have much of social life. Being alone, lonely, and intensely sad, makes me want to eat. So I did my usual breakfast, as I would do if I was working. But then I started getting restless and uncomfortable and text a…

Hi All, I'am new and would like to be apart of your group. I've been on my weight loss journey for about 9 months now. I've lost 110 pounds. I am really struggling with being grateful and celebrating that accomplishment. I am also very stressed and worried that I'll gain it all back. Which I really don't want to do. I…
