I'm on MFP more than FB these days. A friend on MFP, which happens to be an IRL/FB friend also, asked me if I was going to post any recent pics of myself on FB. I tend to just do face shots, or I'm the one taking the pictures, so I'm not in them (kids, hubby). There were some from Easter of me in a group. I was trying on a…

You look fantastic! That, and I love your auburn curls!

My husband is your "before" picture. He's finally joined me on this journey and I think he's in it to win it. You give me hope! Fantastic job and run shirtless as much as you please! I told my husband that even at his heaviest I had no problem with him going shirtless. I love ALL of him and I personally don't care what…

Sherry - I plan on getting some long overdue housework done today also. I may just have to eventually try out fitnessblender. Toni - I hope your doctor can get it sorted out so you can feel better. Pam - I hadn't heard about the tornadoes until you mentioned it. So sad... Your workouts always impress me! Thank you for the…

Wow! Look at you! Strong is beautiful! Yay! I know exactly how you feel! This is the smallest I've been since pre-SECOND baby (there is a third - lol). So, smallest in about six years now. I did my measurements today (I tend to slack in keeping up with it), and my BMI is 25.7 (.71 away from "healthy" weight) and my BF% is…

Did my C25K W2D2 today without the kiddos, so no jogging stroller - YAY! My app kinda messed up on my previous workout so I ended up doing it for 35 mins instead of 31 mins. Today, I went further in 31 mins than I did in 35 mins, which I contribute entirely to not pushing the jogging stroller. The youngest was sick for the…

I had the same question when I donated blood, and didn't come across any real concrete answer, so... I don't count any calories burned when donating blood. I've both brought my own snack (protein bar) and eaten the snacks provided (sour cream and chives crackers - yuuuuuuum), depending on my food choices for the day. I did…

I bought my first pair of size 10 capri pants today! Just in time for my birthday getaway with the girls this weekend!
-
Sherry - Hope you feel better soon! Got my StrongLifts 5x5 done today. I didn't realize I took 11 days off from lifting. I decided to go down on my weights, thank goodness! Tomorrow will be W2D2 of C25K. Woo hoo!

I have to find that Sweet Leaf unsweetend black tea with lime! I love the mint and honey one. I've been on a strawberry kick. I just ate 3/4 a container and only maybe 72 calories (weighed for accuracy).

I recall the thread. I had some major face-palming going on.

Happy birthday and job well done! I think you've inspired me to post a picture from my birthday last year and my birthday next Sunday!

After my C25K the other night at work my glutes were soooooore. I think I pushed harder than normal, and it being on the treadmill I kept a steady pace. Anyhoo, I didn't get to do it the next night at work because one of my co-workers went home sick. I got W2D1 done today though! Not as fast, but I was pushing a double…

Scored 1.83 - Mesomorph as well

When I started SL 5x5 I just started with the bare minimum that the program recommends. It makes you feel good as you up the weights with every workout, plus you're working on the whole form thing.
-
Sammy - WTG! You're killing it today. Pam - I'm not really familiar with that program, so I can't really say if the actual days of rest matter. I would think it wouldn't unless they're strategically spaced after especially strenuous workout days. I've been thinking of doing a second round of 30DS myself. Sherry - Hope you…

Sounds like everyone is doing good. I got a full blown head cold that kicked in Saturday, so I've been a leaky nose mess since then and haven't worked out. Maybe I'll get it done this evening...

I'm still a noob at the lifting thing (beginning month 3), but I aspire to have a great "after". OP: Thank YOU for this post. :flowerforyou:

Sherry - Hope you get back to feeling 100%! maureli - Have a great run today. I know what you mean about the weather! Toni - So sorry for your loss. Tomorrow will be better! I did my StrongLifts today. No problems with my back - yay! I have to be honest, it made me a little nervous and I started to consider quitting SL,…

Back to report that I'm PROUD to say I completed W1D2 of C25K! With the warm up and cool down, I end up doing probably about 2.5 miles instead of just 2 miles, which is my usual. I'm not sure exactly because I can't run the other program that tracks distance at the same time as the C25K, so I'm guesstimating based…

Hello all! I got my W1D1 C25K in yesterday evening after dinner when hubby got home. It was so nice to go without having to push a jogging stroller! I even had a neighborhood dog join me for part of my walk/jog. Let me tell you, even the running jarred my sore back some at first. Also, my shin splints are starting…

Ugh, I don't know, but whatever muscle it is - it's a real BUMMER. :ohwell:

So far, I attempted my StrongLifts, but I got a twinge in my middle back on my first set of full weight squats and decided not to push it. It doesn't feel like anything major - just like when you lift one of the kids wrong. Going to have my husband check my form. I may start C25K today and take the kids for a jog. I…

Thank you! I wish there was a way to search a specific group instead of the entire forum. I feel like I have to really dig for what I'm looking for.

That does make sense. I'll have to try it out tomorrow and see if it helps.

Thanks, ladies! I do point my toes out, but only slightly. Maybe I will increase it a bit. I also have tried widening my stance, but I may be able to go a little further with it. I was reading the article that was posted in the group on hip drive. *off to watch the youtube video* ETA : LOVED the video! It really…

I'll be making a trip to my local store tomorrow, in plenty of time for my OHP on Friday.

This is awesome! I just recently achieved losing what my almost 2.5 year old weighs and it's definitely a great feeling. I was just thinking about it this morning, so it's fitting that you mentioned it.

What an accomplishment! I have to completely agree about the elliptical. I tried that to prepare for my PT test while in the Army Reserves - EPIC FAIL. Your SW and CW are very close to my own and I am 5'7". If you don't mind me asking, which mud run did you do? There was a mud run "Winnie Wars" where I live that I…

What a great NSV! It's an awesome feeling until you're worried about losing your ring. I had to buy a ring snuggie to keep my wedding band on.
