Me too - much older but another veggie runner! I'm intolerant to eggs and soya now so eating is a bit of a challenge (I will soon look like a chick pea). I'm 5ft 4 and aiming to get back to the weight I was for most of the last two years so about 6lbs left to lose now. Happy to be MFP friends with you both.

I started 5:2 18 months ago and reached my goal after only 12 weeks. I cut back to 6:1 and carried on losing, reaching 29lbs in total, I'm back to size 8 and a lower weight than I'd been for many years. I'm now lighter than before I had kids and my youngest is nearly 15! I've maintained for most of the last 12 months,…

Happy to have more friends. I'm maintaining, but still very active on here! Now 112 pounds, 5ft 4, age 46.

A fantastic achievement, you must have added years to your life.

Well done, that's a great achievement! Have you looked at how changing your diet can improve your diabetes? I've seen a lot of links on Twitter recently from Zoe Harcombe and Dr Aseem Malhotra.

You're doing great! Better to lose it gradually and keep it off, I think!

...listening to audiobooks - sometimes I keep running because I want to know what happens next in the story! Mo Farah's autobiography was very inspiring to listen to as well. The downside...running past someone much younger than me in an electric wheelchair on Sunday morning. I felt like I was really rubbing her nose in it…

Eat full fat Greek yogurt instead of fat free and you won't need to sweeten it.
-
Full fat Greek yogurt with dried coconut every day for the last ten days! Sometimes I have puffed wheat cereal with coconut-based dairy free milk instead.

The job I already have...primary school teacher.

Every other Sunday morning I run a half-marathon distance along the Thames, without eating anything before I go or during the run. I manage this comfortably, so don't see the absence of sugar as a problem. It's not just about the food intake, although I freely admit I eat stuff my body is better off without. I've spent a…

Goal is 80km (running) this month, ran 9km on Tuesday and 10km on Thursday so now I'm half way already and it's only April 11th!
-
I'll try to run 50 miles/80km this month. So far, I've done about 21.5km and I'm heading out shortly! Anyone else on Garmin Connect+ and want to add me on there? (I'm lilacjames not snailrunner - someone else already beat me to it!)

Agreed...you MUST eat to TDEE the other five days or you are not creating enough of a difference between your normal day and your fasting day. I started 5:2 in Feb 2013 and have maintained my loss since Aug with only occasional fasting. I'm healthier than I've been in a long time! Clean eating is important but with 5:2…

I've just got myself a Garmin, anyone want to friend me on Connect+?

I started 5:2 in February 2013. I lost 8lbs in the first three weeks and met my goal in early May, then carried on losing to settle at my current weight in the summer of 2013. I've maintained easily since then, stepping up the fasting when needed (i.e. after a vacation) and often going 3-4 weeks without fasting at all. I…

What an inspirational story! Well done on your run too, you'll be under 35 before you know it!

Another runner here. A year ago my goal was to be able to run 10k again, it had been a while! Since then I have beaten my PB several times over, getting down to 56:18 and comfortably running 10k in under an hour. I'm now working on distance, and have run 20km (12.4 miles) a couple of times. My legs are leaner than they…

I started at 140 almost a year ago (I'm 5ft 4). I'm now 115 and staying there easily. I used 5:2 from Feb to July, then reduced the number of fast days to one per week or fortnight unless I was about to go on holiday or had just come back. I now exercise 3-4 times a week, running 5-6 miles. I really think I should do some…

Wow, what an amazing achievement!

I started at a BMI of 24 and lost 21lbs in less than three months. I used the treadmill and cross trainer about 3-4 times a week, used MFP to track all my food/drink, weighed daily, and used 5:2, sticking to TDEE on non-fast days and going over when I fancied as I 'banked' my exercise cals for when I wanted to eat out etc.…

Never...yesterday I ran 10.7 miles without having breakfast (or in fact dinner the night before, but that's another story!).

You look great!

Hi, I'm 5ft 4 and started this in Feb weighing 63.7kg (10st 1). My initial goal was 8st 10 but I've been sitting around 51-52kg easily for the last four months. I did 5:2 (lost 8lbs in first three weeks) and a lot of running, I'm now running for an hour comfortably about 4 times a week. I have gone from size 12 to 6/8.…

You're doing great! It's amazing what your body can do! My furthest so far is 10.5 miles non-stop and I want to beat that by the end of the year. That was a few months back on a nice warm evening though!
-
You're looking great, congrats on your hard work and amazing achievement!

I'm 45, have two teenagers and I'm around 112-116 usually. My highest was 140 and I started doing 5:2 in February, lost the weight without difficulty and have kept it off easily too! My original target was 122. I run 5 miles 3-4 times a week.
-
I started 5:2 in Feb at 10st 1 (63.8kg) and met my initial target of 19lbs within 12 weeks. I cut down to 1 fast day a week, occasionally 2 if it seemed justified, and then to 1 day a fortnight. Since meeting my original goal five months ago, I have lost a further 10lbs and am very stable at between 8st - 8st 2lbs. It's…

I was around 110lbs at age 18 and hovered around 120-125lbs until I after I had my second child, aged 31. I have been fluctuating a lot more since then, reaching a high of 140lbs in Feb this year aged 44. Now at 45 I am 112lbs and maintaining it easily, having blown my original goal out of the water and lost 10lbs more…
