  • I think I am in love with you LOL. I have it on my blog my favorite way to eat a banana, I like to cut a wedge out of it like a canoe and fill it up with peanut butter (chunky), and eat it one bite at a time. I call it a peanut butter banana boat.
  • I think it is so you don't just sit around. I get aggravated when they put hip hop, rap, or heavy metal on. I usually take the rage out on the poor weights and start pushing some heavy ones as fast as I can without throwing them at the speakers LOL.
  • Life happens, at least you are not giving up and going at it again. I might get beaten but I never give up until I win. Walt.
  • Here is a link to an activity calculator. It has a bunch of different ones on the page, click on the one that says " activity calculator". If you do weight lifting, look it up under the cardio exercises under "weight training or circuit training". This will figure the calories burned, then you can enter the weights and…
  • I just started taking them. My teacher said he lost 3lbs. in 3 days. I know it is not enough time to make a real judgment . I have been working out 4 to 5 times a week and staying at least 500 cals. below my goal everyday. I still only lost about 5 to 10 lbs. in 6 months. I am willing to try anything that might give a…
  • Fantastic Job! I want to do that good!
  • There are signs of overtraining, Plateaus, joint pain, going backward (getting weaker, gaining weight). Also irritability, insomnia, depression. It usually comes from like they said above, from not resting or eating enough and doing too much too fast. You can build up to 5 to 6 hours a day but you have to eat enough…
  • I agree that protein is most important for building muscle. I drink a protein shake every morning that has low carbs. As long as you eat lean protein like fish chicken and lean meats and stick to high fiber carbs, you will build muscle and lose fat without losing much weight. This is what I have been doing for about 4…
  • Bodybuilders rarely use the scale for tracking. I think the only time they step on the scale is before a contest so they can be put into a class such as heavy weight or light weight. They go by body fat percentage and measurements. I weigh myself mainly to make sure I am not gaining weight too fast. If you gain more than 2…
  • When you increase muscle mass, you automatically reduce fat percentage. 10% body fat is 15 lbs when you weigh 150 lbs. but add 20 lbs. of muscle then it goes up to 17 lbs.
  • A lot of women make the mistake of not lifting heavy weights when they want to lose fat. You may not lose as much weight, but you will burn more fat. Heavier weights equal bigger muscles, bigger muscles burn more fat even sitting around. You will only get as big as the food you eat and the amount of weight you lift allow.…
  • I watch my fat intake, I eat lean protein like chicken, turkey, fish, and lean beef. I also watch carbs. I eat mainly high fiber carbs. Fiber counteracts the sugar. I also have been having trouble moving the scale. I have been lifting heavy weights and gained about 1 1/2 inches on my arms. I read in an old muscle magazine…
  • Invite me too. I start eating it before it is ready sometimes. It is the opposite for me, by time dinner is ready I am more hungry and have to make something else LOL.
  • FatgutBgone I ate all those things today and tomorrow I go back to the gym. I eat the more healthy versions now like whole wheat pasta, ground chicken meat and sugar free ice cream. Also everything in moderation.
  • I don't have mine on unless I am expecting a call from the doctor. The cell phone only weighs a few ounces. You can't get much of a workout from lifting it.
  • I eat the sugarless oatmeal from Food City, I like strawberry and raisin and spice. I know that they say that the best oatmeal to eat is the old fashioned oats because it is more whole grain and the other types are processed.
  • I have asthma and it is hard for me to do much cardio. I do better lifting weights. I have to go and take a stress test Friday. The doctor is the only one that can tell you for sure by taking tests.
  • I use "body fortress", I get it at the Wal-Mart , I also like the price much better than most of the others.
  • That is why they don't give you much to eat in the hospital. It is harder but possible like the others said. It is calories in and calories burned. I get too weak and hungry if I have to eat less than 2000 cals. a day, but when I am sick I don't eat much. Good luck and get well soon.
  • I agree with most of the posts. Cardio doesn't make you fat, but as for myself, I lose more weight when I lift weights before doing my cardio.
  • I agree with most of the people here. You look great and should tone up with some weight lifting. The only way I can lose weight is lifting weights.
  • I like the original one, Muscle Fitness, and Flex. Bother Weider publications. They have a lot of tips on workouts, and nutrition.
  • I have to weigh myself everyday or I lose track, I also have to have clocks and watches around me all the time or I lose track of time too. As long as it stays near the same or goes up and down a little by the end of the week I usually know which way I'm headed. I stayed off the scale for over a month and put on 20 lbs. If…
  • I have to lose about 100 lbs. I only put 50 on my goal because I figure I can get there before I get discouraged. You can add me as a friend if you want.
  • I lost my best friend that I grew up with back in December of 2004. He had a bad infection in his leg from sugar diabetes. He had a sore on his heel for about two years and they were cutting it out a little at a time. I told him to just cut the foot off but he didn't and kept cutting until he finally lost the foot anyway.…
  • I never used it but there is a plant here in Knoxville TN. I know some people that work there.
  • I love women in the weight room. I love strong muscular women. I am more than happy to help them and I am always curtious to everyone in the gym. I love the fact that women are not afraid of lifting heavy weights to be as strong and healthy as possible.
  • I agree. One guy has to slam the weights even when no one is around. I can hear him in the other part of the building. I want to tell him and others like him to lift a lighter weight if they are not strong enough to handle the weight without dropping or slamming it.
  • I do cardio after I workout or on the non lifting days. I can't do much anyway because of arthritis and asthma. I lift as heavy as I can with good form. You will feel the results before seeing them sometimes. I found after a month or so I would notice a difference. I drink a protein shake before and a creatine drink after…
  • I think all you *kitten* are trolls.
