May I ask what the c25k workout is?
-
[L2D9] for me and I'm following Natalie more and more. My nemesis are the plank jump-ups and knee ups when my thighs already feel like jello. But I'm hanging in there, haven't missed a day, YET. (-don't plan on doing so either)

"determined1221' and I plan on going for the Ripped-in-30 after we finish the 30-day-shred ( around February 7th) If you are game, we'd love to join you in the Ripped endeavor after the Shred. ( after a couple of days rest maybe?)
-
thanks, that's encouraging

Great job, my brave ladies. Took some pictures [at day 1+10] for myself (because I'm not as brave) but couldn't get the angle the same, so it was hard to tell. I'm going to take some more at day 20+30, maybe I'll be able to tell better. Keep shredding! Also love the various vain pets that want to be in your photos:laugh:

Only at first, trust me. And you always have Anita to follow as an option at first.

Glad to have the weekend exercise behind me. Getting better and not sounding like I'm dying anymore. Halfway tomorrow!
-
Way to hang in there everyone! Halfway point for me on Monday! Woohoo!

Several people started on Sunday, I'm pretty sure. Today should be our day 13 if you started on Monday, January 9th. (and didn't get interrupted for any reason) My knees seem to be better today, thanks to Ibuprofen. Starting to get the hang of level 2. Peeked at level 3 just not to be totally shocked when I get to hat…

MelissaWi, awesome on daring level 3, don't like to hear the part about how much harder it is though. I wont be in any hurry to move up then. level 2 is challenging me plenty at this point.
-
@lengirl, it's somewhat of a dull, stiffening ache (like swelling pressure?) and I've started Ibuprofen as a friend suggested. I'll keep an eye on it and baby them a bit. Maybe just not used to the intensity that many days in a row, but I'm on a roll now, don't want to quit -promised myself this time I'd finish what I…

Hi MyCruiser23, just turned 49 in December and would be glad to become one more of your MFPals. I hear you on the menopausal issue. Just doesn't want to come off as easily anymore. Gained my 'last' 20 since 2006 and finally had enough. Joined MFP last September. I'll be glad to back you up. -Elke in Missouri PS, anyone…

Glad you're sticking with it though

Couldn't you take your DVD to a friends's house and ask them to do it with you? Hope either way you'll get to continue soon ( and get your dry bedroom back) -Elke

MelissWi originally mentioned that level 1 of Jillian's 30-day-shred was available on YouTube. You could check it out there before you commit to a purchase. Haven't thought about how to record the Ripped in 30 as I'm still in the middle of 'the shred'. I plan on getting to the ripped workout in February. ( recording the…

I know, I have to watch that too. But your arms get so wobbly after the n-th plank routine, there's just not much juice left. First she kills your thighs with all those jump up planks and pendulum lunges not to mention knee ups, and when that's over MORE plank stuff to wear your upper out completely. Now I can see what…

Started level 2 Sunday, so this will be day 6 -anyone elses knees hurting bad? It's my joints rather than my muscles. Couldn't have anything to do with the extra 40 I need to drop now, could it? HA! I'm VERY careful not to extend knees past ankles, so form is not the issue. Maybe it is arthritis and age. Anyone else…

Hope it's temporary and not some sort of vertigo condition. Get to feeling better soon. -Elke

WOW, people are so on the ball with this one. Everyone already came up with all the 'great ideas' that popped in my head while reading your original plea -all within 1 hour! That's what I like about this community, everyone is on the same journey and soooo supportive. Well done, everyone! I even gleaned some ideas of what…

switched to level 2 on Sunday (this is day 5 level2) Still huffing, puffing and sweating a ton, but 'easier' than on Sunday. First I think my thighs are giving out and than it's on to my arms from all the plank position stuff. Can't imagine I will like level 3, but hey 1/3 done! Keep it up ladies, we CAN! -Elke

You got it!

Have done level 2 for 3 days now ( just felt ready for it) boy, did someone turn on the sweat faucet, but that's what I wanted. Level 1 wasn't really pushing me to my limit anymore. I like level 2 except those thrust lunges -killer. Here I thought my thighs had gotten stronger, just not strong enough. Getting a little more…

I think you may be overestimating the time spent. Jillian does 3 circuits of 3-2-1 minutes =18 minutes +the warm-up and cool down. When I timed it, it came out closer to 22 minutes, sorry : ( Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

doing the level 2 for the second day. nearly killed me yesterday. I thing Anita is my girl tonight. got to work myself up to Natalie. but I guess that's the whole point, if it were easy I wouldn't need to do it ; ) -Elke Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

I'd get it done early myself, just because I tend to put it off -subconsciously. Don't know if that would work for you as I always sweat some 15-20 min past my workout. Hope that helps

Full water Bottles are a good cheap alternative, and they are probably easier to grip than your boots. ; ) Also, as you improve you could fill them with something heavier like maybe rice? Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods

I started with the 30DS group that started on Jan 9th. I've tracked it as 'circuit training, general' in the data base. How many minutes do you log? I'm struggling with the actual time done, because with warm-up and cool-down I only count ~22 minutes. Oh, and where did you find that info on the web, I'd like to look at…

LadyBB, you rock! I would like to do the 'Ripped in 30', but have to prove to myself that I can finish 30DS first. This is my 3rd attempt and I hope with the inspiration of all the others' input on here, I WILL. WHEN I finish, I'll try the Ripped workout. I'll keep watching for your input on this thread in the meantime.…

Wow, you inspire me! both levels in one day? -who does that? -you! I 'almost' died trying level 2 yesterday -me thinks I'll stick with level one a bit longer. My rear is sooo sore this morning. Couldn't do more than 6 of those "jump-ups" in plank to save my live -may have to stick with Anita on that. Natalie is beastly…

tried level 2 for the first time Sunday, wow is my behind sore today. I may stick with level 1 for the rest of the 1st 10 days. I think most of us are trying to do each level for 10 days. However, Jillian says to move on to the next level 'when you're ready/comfortable (ha!)' So I guess it's ultimately up to you when that…
