Oh wow that looks like total HEAVEN I'm soooo making that - but important question: what are crescent rolls and one question I have been dying to know the answer to is: why does everyone say bump? Does it mean "I agree with the previous poster's comment"?

Unfortuntatley I am allergic to apples, peaches, nectarines, & cherries, really frustrating, I didnt used to be until I developed hayfever about 5 years ago. Fave fruits to snack on: Blueberries (I have 2 blueberry bushes at home on my windowsill) Grapes, watermelon or other melon. What is considered the fruits with higher…

This is what I have heard recently. Take for example, the Atkins diet: Fruits are generally forbidden as they contains sugars which are, despite being all natural and healthy, considered carbs, which subsequently mean out-of-bounds for those who are following this diet. I have never tried Atkins and dont think I could, to…

My calories are always under, which is very motivating to see visualised on this site, in diary form. On average, I would never eat more than say, 1 large orange and a slice of melon or.....a bunch of grapes + a mango, per day. However the sugar always comes up in red font, with a -28 or whatever (note: when i scroll up…

Yes, this I am aware of! I wasn't comparing fruits as snacks VS sugary treats such as donuts as snacks. I was talking about the sugar turning into fat, be it natural fructose or other, then that fat turning into eventual weight gain.

this would be my theory but according to the food diary, i eat WAY over my sugar just from one mango, a slice of melon and a handful of grapes, but that is part of my 5-a-day and i would call that eating fruit in moderaton, wouldn't you? so unless i omit most fruit intake and make up the 5-a-day with veg, then i am…

You're right, it's getting there that is half the battle - not to mention cycling home after a gruelling (i hate that word, I wonder why i still use it!?) work out. I dont want to see the gym as a chore and if I go when I really really dont want to (which is not often) then it might put me off going as often as I do as…

If this is what I burn tonight - a total of 407 calories (37 cals over my daily "goal" burn of 370) would I be cheating by not going to the gym, do you reckon? Bicycling, 14-16 mph, vigorous (cycling, biking, bike riding) 234 cals Yoga 88 cals Calisthenics, home, light/moderate effort 62 cals Cooking or food preparation 23…

You know what, you are probably right about the changing of the foods you consume as your body will start getting used to the same foods if you over-eat them over a period of time. The diuretic part - I am not so sure of because isn't alcohol one of the main things that can cause water retention? If I am wrong, which I…

Well only NOW has the aching started to make its presence known to my muscles! Even stretching at my desk is making me ache. We did plenty of reps in the class last night and sit ups with weight and lots of arm work. I forgot it takes a while for the pain to kick in! Body pump today is a no no but I reckon I could get some…

Not only did I weigh less but I had lost weight around my stomach, on my face and neck and my thighs....perhaps it is the fact you do from time to time hit plateaus and you need to trick your body into losing weight again. I love that theory about being away from the stress of daily life. If only we could all be on holiday…

 That tickled me. After everyone's suggestions, and after the comment "I don't remember what crap I was watching on TV Monday night instead of working out. I don't remember what stupid lazy things I did on other birthdays." (which by the way, is such a good way at looking at it, it's so true) I feel it is my duty to…

That's such great inspiration, I hope you're SERIOUSLY proud of yourself, you should be. Well done :drinker:

I walked a fair bit (I guess walking on sand is pretty helpful for weight loss) but I drank beer thorughout the day and smoked! If only this diet was a feasible way to lose weight steadily, I'd be laughing! ONE CAN BUT DREAM.

Cheers guys. Good to hear everyone's P.O.V's. I forgot to mention that when I dont go to the gym, I still cycle to and from work (only around 25 min total, it;s not far from home but it is quite hilly and I am usually late so I pedal faster!) and do 20 mins yoga without fail, sometimes I'll do sit ups and arm dips. It's…

wearing a thong to bed is just impossible for me, how uncomfortable must that be?
-
This sugar count worries me, I dont eat chocolates and cakes much but even soup and savoury foods contribute to my sugar intake and then I find myself going over my allowance, often by 30g or more! It's baffling...
-
i'm exactly the same, it almost feels like wearing clothes in the bath, wearing socks in bed, right?!

touche!

naked every time, i get tangled and my clothes stick to the duve cover otherwise, plus it keeps you warm in the winter, better heat circulation if you're butt nekkid.

How long were you all off thr wagon for? I've been off for 3 weeks....
-
I'm right there with you girls, it can be quite fun to plan meals for the week ahead cant it?
-
Some shallow fried sardines and sprats with mashed sweet potato and wilted baby spinach! I know the fried fish is not the healthiest but I am forgoing my daily glass of red wine today as am on antibiotics - so it's my little treat :)
-
Some really great ideas thanks all! I am big on snacking and not so big on 3 larger main meals a day, I graze a lot :ohwell: So if anyone else has any more suggestions, I'd love to hear them...
-
PS. The amount of food in a ready-meal is average but I personally would still be hungry if I didnt add extra vegetables, steamed or stir fried. you sound like you know what you're doing anyway :)
-
Firstly too many carrot sticks and you'll give yourself some awful stomach cramps, so go easy on them (at least I have experienced this every time, being a big fan of carrots and often overdoing my intake. Secondly, one of the things which worked best for me was to drink a pint of water 5 minutes before your meal and if…

those pesky tummy dents...we know each other all too well, we go way back :) I had the exact same experience this morning at work too - such a great feeling isnt it? Well done girl

So do I - it seems nobody has any ideas (apart from a body wrap which I can't afford!) never mind - was worth asking anyway :ohwell:

I forgot to mention that it's got to be something that doesnt require ££££ :ohwell:
