I know the feeling love! my OH is a foot taller than me and weighs only a stone heavier. :blushing:
-
 me too! my body's physically changing but the actual loss on the scale is stubborn - in a year it's budged no more than around 6lbs.

That's a great post to read, I am so pleased for you and long may this smile last :flowerforyou: I smiled today because: A) I was offered a Krispy Kreme donut and I said yes and I am loving and savouring every last crumb of it becuase it'll b a long while until I next have one. B) Because I read a hilariously defensive…

yum, sounds great - how long do you saute it for?

Apologies if someone has already asked this and it may seem like I am lacking in the common sense department but I have never tried this before and dont usually cook any veg in the microwave...but if you dont have a food processor or blender, is there another way of preparing this? Like coarsely grating it or something?

Woah, what an essay that was - sorry all!
-
Yes exactly, I had the same too - whenever I'd go out I'd panic and almost has agoraphobia due to the pills. Not worth it, not at all. C Dyer - Don't rely on any suppressants to kick start your lifestyle change, self discipline is really hard to find to begin with, it was for me and still is at times, but if you want to…

Have tried: >> Acai Burn - waste of money, expensive and doesn't work >> Hoodia Gordoni - doesn't work (still "testing it out" but haven't noticed a difference) >> Adios - waste of money, doesnt work >> Green tea capsules - don't feel as if they work but they are a good source of the main benefits of green tea so I…

When you say low carb, how many grams a day do you aim for?
-
thanks - might give it a whirl, mix in a few strawbs, bloobs and honey & blend.
-
I asked the same thing a few months ago - apparently there isn't.

Egg whites - boiled, omlette, dry-fried, any which way, they are my saviour! Those and cooked fine green beans to pad almost all my meals out. PS> I am on the 1200 a day too - it's hard and I usually go over but that's ok as long as exercising keeps the calories within goal.

I'm 5"3 (and a half!) and weigh 151lb. Despite all my efforts to shift lb's over the past 10 months, I have only lost a measly 6lb. However, my clothes are all a lot looser on me, I have physically lost a lot of weight and am much more toned than before. Which is what is important, not what the scales read. I might be at…

I was just about to say that. That photo of the 5lb fat and muscle is gross but pretty amazing too.
-
I was wondering this too - what happens when you add a recipe onto the MFP database? I have spent most of my day writing out long recipes and instructions on here and cant find links to give to friends?

I always thought quinoa was considered a carb? I love it, I dont eat enough of it in fact - but when I do make it, I make a kind of tabbouleh style quinoa accompaniment: Chopped coranider/cilantro + parsley + mint + finely diced onion or scallions + lemon juice + cooled cooked quinoa Add the following to the above for an…

Sounds great, will give it a go one of these days. Soups from Waitrose cost around £2.50 anyway so £1.90 or whatever it is for a great lasagne is amazing...that's the introductory price and it;ll go up to £2.17 soon but that's still not too bad....

If you didnt exercise today, I hope you at least had a good laugh people! :drinker:

you look absolutely brilliant. such a great job & big inspiration. well done. how long are your workouts, are they always over an hour?
-
Definitely worth trying - beats all ready meals hands down. Not that I eat that many, because they are usually not very nice...

Hahaha this has happened to me twice today - both posts completely ignored/not a single response :embarassed: But really, all I wanted was to share 2 things (good things at that!) today to any members who would be interested....if they read it then great, if nobody read it, then their loss :smokin:

I've done body pump before (& loved it) and I just logged it as half strength training and half calisthenics. A lot of the work out is spent doing reps and I remember there were some sit ups, planks and push ups as well as weight lifting. Hope you enjoy it, let us know how you get on x

Love the stuffing idea!! I drink so much water (3+ liters per day easily) that I would hope I don't get dehydrated by eating a heaped teaspoon of dry seeds a day...thanks for the warning though, I will do some research x

Thank you for the recipe and the blog article, that sounds really delicious!! Though I dont know where to find hazlenut choc milk, I am sure I can sustitute with something else equally delicious. I will give it a go without a doubt :flowerforyou:

i'd better try these in smoothies this weekend then! does the slight crunch of whats left of the seed husk remain after the soaking and blending or does blending completely get rid of that too?
-
sounds pretty palatable! does the 20 minute soak eradicate the texture of slime and the slight crunch of seed? if it's a chocolate pudding type of texture, i'm all over that---> except i cant get hazlenut chocolate milk here in the UK i dont think!

thanks for the suggestions  i have tried it sprinkled in salad or on toast (made with seeded bread) as well....but the seeds just get stuck in my teeth and they are so hard to get out. plus, after a few minutes the gel forms around the seeds stuck in my teeth and it's just a horrible sensation. i really do want to…
